Suh In Hyuk

Suh In Hyuk (born 1945) is the founder and Supreme Grand Master of Kuk Sool Won, one of the most comprehensive Korean martial arts systems. Beginning his training at age 5 under his grandfather Suh Myung Duk - a master of Korean royal court martial arts - Suh spent decades researching and systematising the full breadth of traditional Korean martial arts before founding Kuk Sool Won in 1961 in Korea and establishing the World Kuk Sool Association in 1974 upon emigrating to the United States. His work is credited with preserving Korean martial arts traditions that might otherwise have been lost during the upheaval of the Japanese occupation and Korean War periods.
