Bill Wallace
Bill Wallace was born on 1 December 1945 in Portland, Indiana. One of the first American superstars of kickboxing - PKA World Middleweight Champion for six consecutive years with a perfect professional record of 23-0.
His signature weapon was his left leg - a roundhouse kick of extraordinary speed and precision that earned him the nickname 'Superfoot'. A knee injury sustained in judo early in his career meant he relied almost exclusively on his left side, but he developed that side to a level few fighters in any discipline have ever matched.
Wallace was a pioneer of American full-contact karate and kickboxing at a time when the sport was finding its feet internationally. His performances attracted audiences worldwide and inspired countless fighters to take up the sport.
After retiring unbeaten he became an actor, appearing in films and TV shows, and later served as an international ambassador for PKA Worldwide, continuing to promote and develop the sport he helped build.
