Rico Verhoeven's title fight during Collision 5 postponed

'The King of Kickboxing' Rico Verhoeven underwent knee surgery yesterday. From the hospital, the kickboxing world champion reports that everything went well. GLORY's Collision 5, scheduled for mid-March, will therefore be postponed.

The doctors did a great job. I just want to let you know how much I appreciate the kind messages and support, you guys are amazing!

Rico Verhoeven is not (yet) fighting Antonio Plazibat

Rico Verhoeven was scheduled to compete in March for a highly anticipated world title fight against Antonio Plazibat . The preparations seemed to be going well until that one moment last week. Rico Verhoeven got ready to train, started his warm-up and misstepped. He twisted his knee and immediately felt that something was wrong.

'The King of Kickboxing' rushed to the hospital. An MRI scan showed that it was more serious than thought. He even had to have surgery. Fortunately, that is now behind us and everything went well. From the hospital bed, Rico is already focusing on his return to the ring.

The first step towards Collission 5 was taken today. This is not an obstacle, but an opportunity.
