Cardio boxing

Cardio boxing is the generic name under which many gyms and fitness centres give group lessons , such as kick fit, boxing fit and the like. These are lessons where you mainly work hard on your condition with a partner or punching bag (hence the name cardio). This is without extreme physical contact. In these types of lessons, there is no sparring, but mainly combinations are practiced with a training buddy.

Cardio boxing is therefore a great way to get "in shape" , without getting nasty injuries. Often different punching techniques and combinations from boxing (and sometimes also kickboxing) are used. These are alternated with strength and conditioning exercises.

Boxing gloves, bandages or gel wraps

Besides a comfortable sports outfit, you don't need much for cardio boxing: a pair of boxing gloves (can also be bag gloves ), bandages and/or a pair of gel wraps . A mouthguard will not be necessary, since there will be no contact in the face . Depending on the type of class and your own wishes, you could use a pair of simple shin guards to protect your shins somewhat from pain and injuries .
