Starting MMA? These are the essentials you need.

For MMA, you need at least the following equipment: MMA gloves (4 oz for sparring, 7 oz for training), boxing gloves for stand-up sparring, handwraps for hand protection, shin guards, a mouthguard, a groinguard and a MMA short or rashguard.

For ground work and grappling, add knee pads and a rashguard to that. For intense sparring, a headgear is strongly recommended. Fight2Win has everything in one range — from entry-level to professional.

4 oz vs. 7 oz MMA gloves. What’s the difference, and which should you choose?

4 oz gloves are the official competition gloves — minimal padding, maximum grip for grappling. Not suitable for intense sparring due to the limited protection. 7 oz gloves are the training and sparring gloves — more padding for safer sparring, while still compact enough for grappling techniques.

Fight2Win carries MMA gloves from Hayabusa (T3 LX Retro 7 oz — the top choice), King Pro Boxing (Revo 2 7 oz) and Booster. For stand-up sparring, alongside MMA gloves, you should also use regular boxing gloves - the Rival RS11V is the most popular sparring glove among MMA practitioners.

MMA shorts and rashguards. The right clothing for training and sparring.

The right clothing makes a big difference in MMA — both for comfort and freedom of movement during grappling and stand-up.

MMA shorts are specially designed for the combination of strikes, grappling, and ground work — with a split or stretch panel for maximum freedom of leg movement. Fight2Win carries MMA shorts from XPRT Fight Gear (Hybrid 2.0, available from S to XXL) and Booster Fight Gear (Skull, Joker).

Rashguards are worn under MMA shorts or as standalone garments for grappling — they protect the skin during ground work and prevent abrasions. The Booster GS rashguard in black is the most popular option in our range.

Groinguards and mouthguards for MMA. From entry-level to professional.

groinguard is mandatory in MMA sparring and competitions—for men and women. XPRT Fight Gear (entry-level, men's and women's) and Shock Doctor (Bio Flex SD213, Ultra SD329, Core Bioflex compression shorts)—from lightweight entry-level models to compression shorts with an integrated protector.

mouthguard is mandatory for all contact. Fight2Win carries mouthguards from Shock Doctor (Gel Max, Gel Max Power Carbon, SuperFit Power), SafeJawz (Intro, Extro, Ortho, Marvel series), and Bytomic —for children and adults, from entry-level models to braces mouthguards.
