Protection of groin and vital areas

We offer various types of groinguards for women, also known as toque or cup. For women practicing martial arts, proper protection of the groin, pubic area, and vital parts is very important. Of course, it is also essential to buy a good protector.

Women's groinguards

For women, we have special women's cups that optimally protect the female genital area. Due to the design of, for example, the XPRT Women's groinguard, the pubic area and groin are also well protected. This is ideal if you want extra protection.

Frequently Asked Questions — Women's groin protectors & groinguards

Is a groinguard mandatory?

Yes, usually.

A groinguard is often required or recommended. For boxing, kickboxing, and karate training, for example, it is recommended. For krav maga and self-defense systems, it is required. The area that the groinguard protects is, of course, very sensitive to injuries.

For exams and competitions, a groinguard is always required for both men and women.

Can you wash groinguards and headgear?

Yes and no.

This depends on the brand and model. The cup (the hard part) can and almost never needs to be washed. Most regular groinguards come in a kind of sports shorts (jockstrap). You can then remove the cup and wash the shorts.

The larger kidney and groinguards (No-Foul) designed for boxing obviously cannot be washed in a washing machine. This is actually not necessary. However, you can simply wipe them down and dry them to keep them fresh.

You obviously cannot wash the steel cups either. The metal is not resistant to this.

What size groinguard should I choose?

When it comes to the size of groinguards, it is mainly about the waist circumference and not so much the size of the cup itself. For each groinguard, we have a unique size chart (for size selection and below in the product information) provided for that specific brand and model.
