In 1978, one of the first martial arts stores (Super Pro) opened in Rotterdam. Rotterdam has always been considered a boxing city. It's home to Bep van Klaveren "The Dutch Windmill," the 1928 Olympic champion. And to professional boxers such as former WBO world champion Regilio Tuur , former WBU world champion Don Diego Poeder, and many others.
After the store became a huge success, the owner founded the brand Super Pro Boxing Gear. With the slogan "the champion's choice," the brand quickly established itself in the Dutch boxing community. In the late 1990s, the store and the Super Pro brand were acquired by Tom and his former business partner. Due to different priorities and the desire to grow, they decided to collaborate with renowned kickboxing trainer Dennis Krauweel . He became responsible for the brand. In the mid-2000s, Dennis continued on his own. With the brand, he gained a large audience as a sponsor of Super League events, which were broadcast throughout Europe.
Ambassador Super Pro: Rico Verhoeven
Dennis himself, who traveled the world with his fighters from Japan to the United States, kept the brand low-key, waiting for the right partner to come along and launch the brand on a global stage. Over the years, Dennis has also built a brand that has also become popular with professionals.
