Thai boxing gloves are designed for complete Muay Thai training

Muay Thai boxing gloves are designed for the specific demands of Muay Thai: clinch work, absorbing kicks on the forearms, and intensive pad work with punching shields and Thai pads.

The gloves in this range come from brands deeply rooted in Thai martial arts tradition — Twins SpecialKing Pro BoxingBooster and Cleto Reyes. Fight2Win is an official partner and distributor of these brands and carries one of the largest selections of Muay Thai gloves in Europe.

Leather or synthetic – the choice determines your training

Leather Muay Thai gloves from brands such as Twins SpecialCleto Reyes and XPRT are the standard for serious Muay Thai practitioners: they conform to the hand, absorb impact better, and last through many hours of training.

Synthetic models from XPRTBooster and King Pro Boxing offer excellent value for money for beginners and recreational athletes. Both categories are available in various weights and designs, from entry-level to professional.

The right weight makes all the difference in Muay Thai

For Muay Thai training a different weight logic applies than for pure boxing. 10 oz and 12 oz are suitable for lighter athletes and children. 14 oz is the most commonly used size for women and men during pad work and bag training.

16 oz offers extra protection during sparring and is mandatory in many gyms. Heavier models such as 18 oz are used by heavier athletes or for extra protection for the training partner. Consult the size chart on the product page for advice based on body weight.

From classic red to modern colorways—the range is extensive.

Twins Special is known for its iconic red and blue color scheme, instantly recognizable in the world of Muay Thai. King Pro Boxing and Booster offer modern colorways with graphic prints and contrasting details.

XPRT and Hayabusa add a more European, streamlined aesthetic to the range. Fight2Win carries various designs from each brand, from classic solid-color models to limited editions.

Thai boxing gloves are versatile—but Muay Thai is at the core.

Thai boxing gloves are primarily designed for Muay Thai and thai boxing, but thanks to their wide wrist support and robust construction, they are also perfectly suited for kickboxing and general martial arts.

The difference from pure boxing gloves lies in the slightly wider wrist strap and the construction, which is better suited to absorbing low kicks and kicks. Both beginners and advanced athletes, children, women, and men will find a suitable model in this range.

Proper care extends the lifespan of your Muay Thai boxing gloves.

Leather Muay Thai gloves require regular maintenance: air them out after every training session and use a disinfectant spray such as FreshKO to prevent bacterial growth and odors, and periodically treat the leather with a suitable leather cleaner.

Never store the gloves in a closed sports bag. Synthetic models require less maintenance but also benefit from regular airing and disinfection. With the right care, Muay Thai gloves will last for many hours of training.

Frequently asked questions — Thai boxing gloves

What is the difference between bag gloves and boxing gloves?

Bag gloves and Boxing gloves are both used during (kick)boxing training, but they serve different purposes and have different features.

Bag gloves are specifically designed for punching bag and pad training. They have less padding and often less wrist support. This provides more feedback and allows for faster combinations.

Boxing gloves, on the other hand, are used for sparring and potentially competitions, with an emphasis on protection and safety through thicker padding and greater wrist support.

Bag glove features:

  • Purpose: specifically designed for punching bags and pad training, to promote speed and precision.
  • Padding: less padding compared with Boxing gloves, providing more feedback on impact. The materials have a much higher density to withstand repeated impact.
  • Wrist support: less wrist support, to promote proper punching technique. However, this is not always the case; many Rival bag gloves have excellent wrist support (Wrist-Lock 2).
  • Fit: a smaller, tighter fit for better wrist stabilization.
  • Weight: lighter, for faster punches and combinations. Usually 8 oz or 10 oz.
  • Design: usually features an unattached thumb and sometimes no hook-and-loop closure or laces for quick putting on and removal.
How do I use disinfectant spray for boxing gloves?

After every training session, spray a small amount into the boxing gloves. One spray is sufficient.

If you also use a deodorizer (which we recommend), we advise letting the boxing gloves dry first using the deodorizers, then using the disinfectant spray.

Usage tips:

  • Hold the can 5 to 15 cm above the surface and move the spray quickly over the item you want to treat.
  • Don't leave your smelly sports gear lying around for too long; spray it immediately after exercising.
How does a "deodorizer" work?

Deodorizers for boxing gloves are, simply put, moisture absorbers specially designed for boxing gloves. You put them in your boxing gloves after use. As a result, they dry much faster, so sweat doesn’t get a chance to settle into the lining or padding.

Deodorizers therefore ensure that:

  1. your boxing gloves dry faster
  2. your gloves stay fresher
  3. the lining and padding remain in good condition for longer
Is there a difference between kickboxing gloves and boxing gloves?

No.

Actually, there is no difference.

Some brands are more focused on boxing, while others are more focused on kickboxing and thai boxing.

There are some minor differences, but in practice you can use boxing gloves for kickboxing and kickboxing gloves for boxing.

Is there a difference between women’s and men’s boxing gloves?

No.

There are not really any dedicated women's boxing gloves. Boxing gloves are unisex, but women usually simply choose a lighter boxing glove (that is, a smaller size). These are available in various color combinations.

Women generally have somewhat narrower hands than men, so it is better not to choose a boxing glove that is too heavy. We have created a separate selection within our range of boxing gloves that are more suitable for women because of their fit.

How do I properly care for my boxing gloves?

Allow your boxing gloves to air-dry after every training session—never store them in a closed bag. Wipe the outside clean with a damp cloth after use. Treat leather gloves regularly with leather cream to prevent them from drying out and cracking. If desired, use a disinfectant spray or place a deodorizer in the gloves to neutralize odors. With proper care, quality gloves will last for many hours of training.
