Junior or adult – which size SafeJawz mouthguard do I need?
SafeJawz mouthguards are available in junior (for children) and adult The Intro and Extro are available in both sizes. The Ortho orthodontic mouthguards are one-size and fit both children and adults.
As a rule of thumb, junior is suitable up to around 11–12 years old. Not sure? Choose adult — thanks to Remodel Tech, you can remold the mouthguard up to 3 times until you achieve the right fit.

SafeJawz is an official Marvel licensee and releases mouthguards featuring iconic Marvel designs. Available at Fight2Win:

All Marvel mouthguards are available in junior and adult sizes. The Marvel Ortho Venom is one-size and suitable for people with braces.
Rinse your SafeJawz mouthguard after every use with cold water and always store it in the included Protective case. Never use hot water for cleaning—it will permanently deform the fit.
SafeJawz offers two accessories for optimal hygiene:
Disinfectant spray – antimicrobial, mint-scented, suitable for approximately 150 uses
Premium protective case – unbreakable silicone, with carabiner clip, inhibits bacterial growth

Jaw-Secure™ helps protect your jaw from injury and cushions your teeth against impacts while biting down on the mouthguard. Suitable for all contact sports.
There is no guarantee that Jaw-Secure™ will completely prevent injury during use; it is designed to minimize.

Fluid Fit™ gives SAFEJAWZ® mouthguards an ultra-thin profile that moulds closely to your mouth and teeth.
The mouthguard clicks onto your teeth and is so comfortable that breathing, talking, and drinking are much easier than with mouthguards without this technology.
This guide provides instructions for fitting your SAFEJAWZ Intro-Series, Extro-Series, or Ortho-Series mouthguard.
First, you will need:
- A kettle
- A bowl
- A mirror
- Cold running water
- A spoon
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Boil water in the kettle and pour the hot water into a bowl.
2. Immediately place the mouthguard in the hot water for 30 seconds. If the mouthguard starts to shrink before the 30 seconds have elapsed, remove it immediately and continue with the next step.
3. Carefully remove the mouthguard from the hot water using the spoon.
4. Lick your lips and carefully place the mouthguard in your mouth.
5. While looking in the mirror, align the mouthguard with the center line of your upper teeth and gently bite down on the mouthguard while closing your lips over it. Be careful not to bite through the mouthguard.
6. Suck on the mouthguard while using your fingers on the outside of your lips to gently press it against your teeth and gum line. Do this for 30 seconds.
7. Remove the mouthguard and place it under cold running water for 30 seconds.
8. Put it back in your mouth and test whether it fits properly. If the fit is not perfect, repeat the entire process.
SafeJawz was founded by two martial arts athletes. At SafeJawz, they understand the importance of a well-fitting mouthguard that doesn't fall short when it comes to protection or comfort.
The founders built the brand from the ground up. Starting with an investment of £1,500 (raised by co-founder Ewan Jones by selling his car), the entrepreneurs bought sports accessories at sale prices and began selling them at market stalls and through online marketplaces.
The brand specializes in both self-fitting and custom-made (handcrafted) mouthguards. Today, SafeJawz offers mouthguards for professional elite athletes, including England rugby internationals Joe Marler and Courtney Lawes, and world champion boxers, including George Groves and Charlie Edwards.
They now sell their products in 35 countries, and exports remain a key growth strategy for the company.
