Put on bandages

Put on bandages

One of the most frequently asked questions from kickboxers and boxers has to do with putting on boxing bandages. Many people who start boxing or kickboxing have no idea how to put on bandages (also called bandages). They often don't dare to ask. As a result, they either train without bandages or simply wrap the bandages around their hand and wrist as many times as possible.

Choose the correct length of bandages

We sell different lengths of bandages . You naturally start by choosing the right length. Children, juniors and (small) ladies 250 cm and adults 450 cm. If you choose the wrong length, the end of the bandage may or may not be in sight! And above all, don't put it on too tight. If you do, your hand will hardly be able to move and blood flow will be reduced to a minimum.

Bandages are indeed an essential part of boxing and kickboxing. It is therefore important to put them on correctly. After all, they protect your hands. And bandages ensure that your boxing gloves stay neatly in place. Then we haven't even taken into account the extra function of sweat collection.

Material bandages: Cotton, polyester or polycotton

Almost all bandages sold from all brands are a mix of polyester and cotton. This mix is needed to give the material a little stretch so that it can be wrapped properly. This also makes it sturdier and easier to wash. Real old-school boxers swear by 100% cotton bandages. However, this is not possible and should really be done by an experienced professional. Of course we also have similar bandages in our range.
