Kung Fu (China) and Wushu are two popular terms that have become synonymous with Chinese Martial Arts. However, the two Chinese terms have very different meanings. Wushu can be interpreted in many different ways as traditions within martial arts. Kung Fu, on the other hand, can be used in any context – even outside of martial arts.

Kung Fu (gung fu) describes an achievement or skill in techniques, attained through long and hard work. Wushu is a more precise term to indicate activities related to martial arts.
