Kung Fu (China) and Wushu are two popular terms that have become synonymous with the Chinese Martial arts. However, the two Chinese terms have very different meanings. Wushu can be interpreted in many different ways as martial arts traditions. Kung-Fu, on the other hand, can be used in any context, even outside the martial arts.

Kung Fu (gung fu) describes an achievement or proficiency of techniques, which is achieved through long and hard work. Wushu is a more precise term to indicate martial arts activities.

Chinese Martial arts training schedules generally consist of the following components: basic techniques, forms, applications of self-defense techniques and weapons training. Naturally, each style has its own syllabus.
