7 oz MMA gloves are best suited for training as they have thicker padding than the lighter 4 oz versions. This provides more protection to the knuckles, but also to the opponent and/or sparring partner. They also feature a short piece at the thumb, so that it is also protected.
The King Pro gloves have an extra long Velcro closure that goes around the wrists twice. This makes the wrists extra reinforced, which helps prevent injuries.
