How did deodorizers come onto the market? The attention for martial arts, such as boxing and kickboxing and countless variations in the form of popular group classes, has increased enormously in recent years.
Partly due to this popularity of boxing and cardio boxing, the attention of producers and brands has also been sparked to manufacture better and newer products. After all, there is demand for it.
Everyone who trains knows that boxing gloves can become very moist inside and can start to smell quite bad. In the past, there was no other option than, for example, putting a wad of newspaper inside to dry or air them out somewhat.

Moreover, it is naturally self-cleaning and requires no maintenance such as washing or anything similar.
In our store, we offer a deodorizer with almost all new boxing gloves, and although it may sound like a sales pitch, these are products that really work! This is also evident from the sales, as they are sometimes literally flying off the shelves!
We have deodorizers from various brands in our webshop and store, such as No-Stink and recently also the deodorizer from Rival, which has a very nice and large volume to properly fill the gloves.
The advantages of bamboo charcoal
Bamboo charcoal can absorb formaldehyde, remove strange odors, and prevent moisture and mold. Because of this, it is used for countless products such as insoles, mattress cushions, and now also as sachets for boxing gloves!
It is also a completely natural product, so you don’t have to worry about chemical reactions or environmental impact. It is harmless and can dehumidify in contact with the human body.
Chemical explanation
Bamboo charcoal can absorb moisture, a strange odor, and various harmful gases in the air. This is because during the carbonization process of bamboo, the empty structure of bamboo undergoes subtle changes.
When the water in the bamboo evaporates, the cell opening shifts and the sediment in the bamboo capillary tube is also reduced.
Many impurities on the original bamboo are replaced because they are not filled with water and inclusions, and become wider and denser. Therefore, the empty area of bamboo carbon is enlarged, while the multi-hole structure of bamboo is preserved.
This honeycomb-like structure gives bamboo charcoal a super absorption power.
