Free. Lightweight. No compromise.

Below you’ll find everything about the XPRT Protector V1—the only model without a footpiece in our range—including sizing advice, use, and maintenance.

Shin guards without footpiece - when should you choose this type

A shin guard without a foot protects only the shin—not the instep or ankle. Ideal for Krav Maga, Karate, and Taekwondo where you train barefoot or in trainers (Krav Maga) and want to keep your foot free.

Trainers who also prioritize speed and mobility over maximum protection deliberately choose this type.

XPRT Protector V1 - the only model without a base

A poly-cotton sock-style model without a hard protective plate and without a base.

Fits snugly because you put it on like a sock, so it stays in place.

Available in black and white, in sizes XS, S and M- primarily for children and smaller adults.

Light enough to also wear as an additional protective layer under a molded model.

Size guide – XS to M

Available in XS, S and M.

  • XS is suitable for young children (approx. 4–8 years),
  • S for older children and smaller adults,
  • M for adults with a regular calf size.

The model fits true to size- choose your usual size. Not sure? Visit our showroom to try it on.

Suitable for Krav Maga, Karate, and Taekwondo

Primarily designed for sports where the foot needs to remain free. Also suitable as an entry-level shin guard for kickboxing for children who are not yet sparren.

For intensive sparring or competition kickboxing, we recommend a pre-shaped model with a foot section such as the XPRT Competitor V1 or XPRT Pro V3.

Care – polycotton, never machine wash

Despite its fabric construction, the Protector V1 must never be put in the washing machine. Dry it with a towel after training and let it air out completely.

For stubborn odors: use an antibacterial spray such as Sukkiri & Fresh KO.

Store the model as usual - not folded in half - to avoid straining the elastic.

Fight2Win - available directly from stock in black and white

The XPRT Protector V1 is always in stock in black and white, available for immediate delivery from our warehouse in Waddinxveen.

Frequently asked questions — Shin guards without footpiece

What is the background of the XPRT brand?

The story of XPRT Fight Gear begins in 2005. An enthusiastic martial artist and entrepreneur has been dreaming for years of a shop filled with the finest fighting gear, available and accessible to everyone.

Through personal experience gained from training camps, seminars, competitions, and research, he developed a clear vision of how to offer martial arts, combat sports, and martial arts equipment to a broader audience in the new millennium.

With extensive experience in Thai boxing, boxing, karate, and especially ITF Taekwon-do, Fight2Win takes its first steps toward a complete product range. Initially, this consisted exclusively of ITF Taekwon-do uniforms and safety equipment under the Taekwon-do.nl brand and website.

Then came the slogan: Fight2Win. And ultimately, with the help of fellow martial artists and graphic designers, a logo and name emerged for a groundbreaking and affordable martial arts brand: XPRT Fight Gear!

Can I also use a disinfectant spray on other products, such as shin guards?

Yes.

Although the sprays were specially developed for boxing gloves, you can also use them for other (sports) equipment.

You can use it for shin guards, for example, but it also works fantastically on smelly sneakers and athletic shoes.

Can I use my Xprt Shin guards on the punching bag?

Yes.

If you have bruises or sore shins, using shin guards is an option.

Using shin guards on the punching bag will leave “scuff marks” (stains, stripes, and smudges) on the shin guards and punching bag.
