Frequently asked questions — Materials & Accessories

What is the difference between a regular jump rope and a speedrope?

A jump rope and a speed rope are both used for jumping rope, but they differ in weight and intended use. Speed ropes are lightweight and designed purely for fast jumps, such as double unders. Regular jump ropes are generally heavier and are used for general conditioning, warm-up fitness, and cross-training.

Speed ropes:

  • Lightweight: made from thin PVC or steel cables, allowing them to rotate faster.
  • Speed training: primarily used for intensive exercises such as double unders, speed skipping, and agility training.
  • Suitable for: athletes and people who want to improve their speed, agility, and coordination.

Jump ropes:

  • Varying weights: can range from light to extra heavy, and some are weighted for strength and endurance training. For example, the Rival weighted jumprope.
  • Versatile: suitable for various types of training, including basic jumping, cross-training, and building endurance.
  • Suitable for: beginners and people looking for a full-body workout, including strength and cardiovascular benefits.

In short, if you want to jump as fast as possible or develop advanced skills, a speedrope is the better choice. If you are looking for a more versatile workout or want to build your overall fitness, a regular jump rope is the better choice.

How long should a jump rope be?

For adults, a jump rope should be the following length: stand with both feet in the middle of the rope and pull the handles upward. The jump rope handles should reach approximately to your armpits or breastbone.

Does it matter which sports bag I use?

Yes, for example, if you put shin guards in a bag that is too small, this will affect the product’s shape, sturdiness, and protection. In short: you don’t want to cram products into the bag.

Some sports bags also offer more benefits than others, such as mesh panels, which make a sports bag more breathable and therefore more hygienic. This prevents unpleasant odors from lingering and allows your gloves and/or shin guards to “breathe” better.

Collections

Is this sports bag big enough for all my sports gear?

For all bags, we have provided the dimensions in a size chart (this can be found at the top under size selection and at the bottom under the information tab labeled “size”). We have also included the capacity in liters.

Collections

Does this sports bag have a “wet” compartment?

Yes.

This sports bag has a separate compartment where you can put your wet clothes and towel after training, keeping them separate from the rest of your belongings.
