The mouthguard must be pre-formed to your jaw before first use. You do this by placing the Shock Doctor mouthguard in a bowl of hot water and then putting it in your mouth. Be careful not to do this too quickly, otherwise you will burn your mouth! Always read the enclosed description first!
Boil water in a saucepan or kettle, remove from heat for 20 seconds. Then put the mouthguard in the water for a short time until it softens (read the description for exact times) . Then place it over the top row of teeth in your mouth and bite gently with your lower jaw. Use your fingers to press against the gums so that the shape is good.
