Shock Doctor or SafeJawz Protective case – what’s the difference?

Fight2Win sells two antimicrobial protective cases:

  • Shock Doctor (orange) - sturdy plastic, ventilated, carabiner, inhibits bacterial growth by 99.99%, 9x8 cm
  • SafeJawz Premium (red or black) - unbreakable silicone, carabiner, antimicrobial, breathable open design, 9x8 cm - our Fight2Win Choice

The biggest difference: the SafeJawz case is made of flexible silicone, so it won't break if dropped. The Shock Doctor case is made of stiffer plastic but offers slightly more rigid protection.

Antimicrobial Protective case – how does it work?

Both cases are made with or treated with antimicrobial additives. These are odorless and tasteless and provide permanent product protection - they do not wear off when washed.

The antimicrobial action inhibits the growth of bacteria by 99,99% and has been proven effective against resistant bacteria such as MRSA. The non-porous surface of the SafeJawz silicone case is also resistant to bacteria and easy to rinse.

Do all mouthguards fit in these protective cases?

Yes – the cases and pouches in our range are suitable for all brands and sizes mouthguards: single mouthguards, double mouthguards, and mouthguards for braces. The dimensions are 9 x 8 cm, making them suitable for virtually all standard mouthguards.

The SafeJawz silicone case is extra flexible thanks to its pliable material, so it also fits slightly larger models.

Combine Protective case with disinfectant spray

A Protective case protects your mouthguard between training sessions. For extra hygiene, immediately after use we recommend the SafeJawz disinfectant spray : spray 1–2 times on your mouthguard after exercising, let it dry, and store it in the case.

The spray kills 99.99% of all bacteria, has a fresh mint scent, and is suitable for approximately 150 applications (50 ml).

What’s the story behind SafeJawz?

SafeJawz was founded by two martial arts athletes. At SafeJawz, they understand the importance of a well-fitting mouthguard that doesn't fall short when it comes to protection or comfort.

The founders built the brand from the ground up. Starting with an investment of £1,500 (raised by co-founder Ewan Jones by selling his car), the entrepreneurs bought sports accessories at sale prices and began selling them at market stalls and through online marketplaces.

The brand specializes in both self-fitting and custom-made (handcrafted) mouthguards. Today, SafeJawz offers mouthguards for professional elite athletes, including England rugby internationals Joe Marler and Courtney Lawes, and world champion boxers, including George Groves and Charlie Edwards.

They now sell their products in 35 countries, and exports remain a key growth strategy for the company.
