Fight2Win has been selling Twins boxing gloves for over 15 years, offering trusted quality at a fair price. The Twins kickboxing gloves come in a wide variety of colors and weights, and we have almost all available on the European market always in stock.

Twins boxing gloves: the models

Twins only supplies genuine leather boxing gloves, all handmade in Thailand. There are 6 models that Fight2Win carries: Twins BGVL3/4, Twins FBGVL Fantasy, Twins BGVL8, Twins BGLL, Twins BGN, and the Twins BGVL6.

All are top gloves made from the best materials with firm yet soft padding. Twins Special has 5 different models with a velcro closure, while the BGLL features a traditional lace-up closure for fans of classic (competition) boxing gloves.

  • Twins BGVL3/4 - ventilation holes in the palm, single color (BGVL3) or duo-tone/3-tone (BGVL4)
  • Twins FBGVL - ventilation holes in the palm, special editions
  • Twins BGVL8 - modified model of the BGVL3, with higher density padding
  • Twins BGN - padding in the palm, specially developed for the European market
  • Twins BGVL6 - extra long wrist cuff for protection, double short closure
  • Twins BGLL - classic model with lace-up closure

Twins BGN, a longtime bestseller

The Twins BGN are truly perfect for boxing, cardio boksen, and kickboxing thanks to the extra padding on the palm. This helps absorb and deflect punches and kicks more comfortably due to the cushioning of this additional padding.

The BGN model was specially developed for the European and Dutch market, as more boxing techniques are applied in training here than in traditional Muay Thai in Thailand. The Twins BGN is available in more weights than any other boxing glove, from 8 oz up to 20 oz!

We also have a very similar Twins model without padding in the palms. These are the Twins BGVL3, which can also be used for sparring, pad work, and punching bag training.

Twins boxing gloves BGVL3: a huge range of color choices

The Twins BGVL3 have been the flagship of Twins Special for years. Literally, BGVL stands for Boxing Gloves Velcro Long. The Twins kickboxing gloves are handmade from top-quality leather, feature a wide long velcro strap around the wrists, and the palm has perforated ventilation holes for better airflow in the kickboxing gloves.

The Twins BGVL3 are available at Fight2Win in more than 20 solid colors and also in a considerable number of two-tone and triple color schemes (BGVL4). The BGVL3 and BGVL4 come in weights of 10 oz, 12 oz, 14 oz, and 16 oz.

We have been selling this Twins model for years, and it has been a bestseller for a long time. Some brands come and go or get replaced by the next trend, but Twins consistently delivers quality and has built a huge loyal fan base as a result.

Twins boxing gloves FBGVL Fantasy: works of art to fight with

The Twins FBGVL are the special editions of Twins Special. They are based on the BGVL3 models but feature a unique and often colorful finish and design. These special Twins kickboxing gloves are, like the other models, handmade from top-quality leather but have a very distinctive design inspired by mythological and/or historical figures.

Until recently, the Twins FBGVL were difficult to obtain in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe, but we now have a substantial assortment available. There is high demand for this type of kickboxing gloves, and the supply is usually quite limited. So seize the opportunity when your favorite model is available.

Twins boxing gloves: padding & construction

All Twins (kick)boxing gloves in our assortment are made of 100% genuine leather. Despite the thickness of more than 1 millimeter, the gloves retain their resilience. This leather thickness ensures a longer lifespan and better durability of the boxing gloves.

The padding of Twins boxing gloves can be described as "soft and forgiving," making them an everyone’s friend and a safe choice. These are boxing gloves you can confidently spar with for a long session without worrying that they will hit extremely hard, as is the case with some other brands.

The padding of the Twins BGVL is made of medium-density polyurethane foam. This is a soft padding material that can even be safely used during intense sparring sessions by fighters.

Reinforced wrist with strengthened velcro closure

Almost all Twins models in our assortment have a wide and long velcro closure. A long closure means the strap goes completely around the wrist before fastening. This provides significant reinforcement of the wrists and stays closed better than a short closure.

The thumbs are always stitched to the fists as they should be on every good (kick)boxing glove. The gloves are also always neatly and precisely finished with double stitching everywhere. Another feature is the palm rib, also with reinforced protection.

Antibacterial surface and materials

The antibacterial surface, which neutralizes unpleasant odors and guarantees freshness—even after the most intensive training—is also a unique feature of the Twins Special boxing gloves.

The high quality of the craftsmanship is also worth mentioning. Even the smallest details of the Twins gloves are precisely finished. The design of each model is carefully tailored to the specific characteristics of each martial art: boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, and kickboxing.

Frequently Asked Questions — Twins boxing gloves

What kind of padding do Twins boxing gloves have?

All Twins BGVL3/BGN models

  • Thick, multi-layer foam padding for optimal protection.

Twins gloves have more padding on the back/side of the hand than a regular boxing glove. They are made for Thai boxing, but are also suitable for kickboxing and boxing.

This padding is necessary due to blocking kicks and backfist strikes. A Twins glove offers slightly less knuckle protection than a "classic" boxing glove of similar weight. This is because the weight is distributed over other parts of the glove.

Can I use Twins boxing gloves for classic boxing?

Yes.

Twins boxing gloves are suitable for (Western) boxing, kickboxing, and thai boxing (Muay Thai).

They are also used in Krav Maga and MMA (stand-up fighting).

Although the Twins Special brand has its roots in Muay Thai, classic boxers around the world use Twins boxing gloves with just as much enthusiasm.

How do the Twins boxing gloves (BGVL3/4/8 and BGN) fit?

Twins boxing gloves generally fit large and are suitable for both wide and normal hands.

Although Twins boxing gloves are quite wide, they are also suitable for people with "normal" hands. There is enough room to properly wrap your handwraps.

They are known for their somewhat larger padding size.

Our experience is that Twins feel tight at first (which is normal), but they become considerably roomier (break in) with use.

What is the background story of Twins Special?

Twins Special is a well-known Thai brand specializing in high-quality Muay Thai, kickboxing, and boxing equipment, especially (kick)boxing gloves, pads, and thai boxing shorts.

The company Twins Special was founded in 1992 in Thailand by two brothers.

Where is Twins Special made?

All products from Twins Special are handmade inThailand.

How can I best maintain my Twins Special boxing gloves?

Boxing gloves have a limited lifespan. After all, they are a product that is used for hitting, and boxing gloves often take a lot of wear and tear.

Of course, you can influence their lifespan yourself by taking good care of your boxing gloves properly and maintaining them. Don’t just throw them in a corner; take them out of your sports bag and let them dry properly (not in direct sunlight).
