Fairtex Sparring (100% leather) - recreationalists and advanced users: Authentic Thai craftsmanship, tested at the world-famous Fairtex training camp in Pattaya. Thick padding that covers the knuckles like a protective layer while still offering sufficient flexibility for grappling. Available in 4 oz (black-white, M to XL) and 7 oz (black-red, XL).
King Pro Boxing Revo 2 (synthetic leather) - recreationalists: Entry-level model in synthetic leather, suitable for MMA training and Krav Maga. Available in 7 oz, sizes S to XL.
4 oz or 7 oz: Choosing the right weight MMA gloves.
MMA gloves come in two weights—the difference lies entirely in the thickness of the padding:
4 oz – competition and conditioning: Thin gloves with minimal padding. Used in professional MMA competitions and by advanced boxers who deliberately choose maximum feedback and hand conditioning. They hit harder—for both you and your training partner. Not suitable for sparren with a partner.
7 oz – training and sparren: Thicker padding for more cushioning and protection—for both you and your training partner. The standard choice for regular MMA training, heavy bag training, and light sparring. Recommended for beginners and anyone who uses the gloves for daily training.
Rule of thumb: Not sure? Choose 7 oz. The extra padding protects your hands during intensive use and is safer for training partners.

Please note for Hayabusa: the T3 and T3 LX Retro have a snug fit due to the Dual-X closure system. Are you between two sizes? Choose the larger size, especially if you use handwraps or wraps.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) - the primary sport. All models are designed for this purpose. The open-finger design is essential for grappling, submissions, and clinch work.
Krav Maga - MMA gloves are widely used for Krav Maga training. The open fingers provide the flexibility needed for Krav Maga self-defense techniques.
Heavy bag training - the 7 oz models are excellent for intensive heavy bag training. The thick padding protects the knuckles, while the open fingers provide extra flexibility—useful if you want to interrupt your workout for push-ups or other exercises.
Not suitable for: sparren with a partner (use regular boxing gloves of at least 14 oz for this), or sports that require full hand protection.

Hybrid MMA gloves are exactly what they sound like: a “hybrid” between regular larger boxing gloves and smaller, compact MMA gloves.
They are relatively large for MMA gloves because they have a thicker padding and therefore offer more protection than (competition) MMA gloves.
During training at clubs & gyms, Hybrid gloves (or at least heavier MMA gloves) are mainly used for safety.
Hybrid MMA gloves are also very suitable for Krav Maga, bag training, or other forms of self-defense. You can punch well with them while still being able to grapple.
Besides the difference in weight (4 oz or 7 oz), MMA gloves are also available in sizes S to XL.
These are almost always adult sizes, so most women will fit an S or M, while most men—depending on the size of their hands—will fit an M, L, or XL.
