Winning has two versions of the CPS-500 groinguard:
CPS-500B - with hook-and-loop closure. Quick to put on and take off, ideal for boxers who train independently. Available in white, sizes M and L.
CPS-500 Lace-Up - with lace-up closure for a snug, personalized fit. The classic choice for boxers who want the perfect fit. Available in black, white, and red, sizes M through XL.
Both models weigh ~320 grams and are handmade in Japan from synthetic leather and foam. The protection is identical—the only difference is the closure.

M -waist 73-83 cm
L - waist 78-88 cm
XL - waist 83-93 cm
Measure your waist at its narrowest point for the most accurate fit. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size for greater comfort.

Winning groinguards are specifically designed for classic boxing. The CPS-500 offers maximum groin protection for the boxing stance—but is not suitable for kickboxing or thai boxing.
With kickboxing and thai boxing you need a smaller groinguard that allows kicks and does not restrict leg movement at all. The Winning CPS-500 is too large for this—and also offers no possibility for kicking techniques, which is required in these sports.
For kickboxing and thai boxing, we recommend a compact groinguard specifically designed for these sports.
After every training session: air out the groinguard before storing it. Never store it while damp. Cleaning:

Materials and construction vary by model. Check the product information for the gloves, protective gear or punching mitts you’re considering.
With Winning, the premium choice comes down to a combination of finish, fit and thoughtful design for boxing training. Consider the multilayer padding of the MS600 gloves, the different headgear designs and the hand opening on the coaching mitts.

Clean the parts separately. Remove a removable cup from the fabric shorts before washing them. Wipe the cup clean after use with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let it dry thoroughly. Clean larger padded no-foul protectors by wiping them down, not by putting them whole in the washing machine. Don’t forget the belts, fastenings and lining.
Is a groinguard mandatory?
That depends on the sport, type of practice, and competition rules. A groinguard may be recommended or required during training, but there is no universal rule that applies equally to every martial art, every exam, and every participant.
Check the equipment requirements for your training session or event and choose a model designed for that purpose. A proper fit and secure fastening remain important, even when the groinguard is required.
