Top Ten headgear

The Top Ten brand originated in martial arts and is a brand of Budoland, a leading producer of martial arts equipment. Budoland was founded in 1992 by Peter Kruckenhauser in Germany. 

Top Ten is known for its equipment for kickboxing and boxing, among other sports, and is used worldwide at various championships, including the Olympic Games. 

They are, among other things, the main equipment sponsor of WAKO and ITF.

Martial arts such as karate, taekwondo, boxing, kickboxing and MMA all involve a degree of contact with practitioners' heads. Wearing a good headgear in these martial arts is essential for the safety of the practitioner.

We especially want to emphasize that good headgear not only provides good protection, but also stays securely in place and does not get in the way!

We usually do two things in our showroom:

1. Quickly shake your head from side to side
2. Tap all sides of the headgear. Preferably using a slightly sliding technique to create friction.

If the headgear barely moves or doesn’t move at all while not feeling too tight, you’ve got the right size!

The Top Ten Avantgarde is ITF Approvedand made of special hygienic rubber— an indestructible material that withstands intensive use. The specially shaped contours protect the eyes, while 9 ventilation holes at the top ensure optimal cooling.

In semi-contact matches, the two competitors are distinguished by the colors red (Hong) and blue (Chong). Headgear, gloves, and safety kicks must be in these colors so the referee can award points correctly. The Avantgarde is available in both mandatory competition colors.
