What size Krav Maga shin guards do I need?

You can, of course, try on the Krav Maga protection of your choice at our martial arts store near Rotterdam. We have all common models in stock, unless otherwise stated.

However, you can't compare the sizes of different brands. For example, a King XL is much larger than a Twins XL. Therefore, it's wise to follow our size chart. Nine times out of ten, you'll have made the right choice.

For young children, we always recommend a stocking-style (footless) Krav shin guard. Children aged 8-10 can progress to the cotton shin guard, which features three elastic Velcro closures.

Krav Maga shin guard maintenance

You naturally want your Krav Maga gear to stay in good condition. Your clothes can be washed, but your boxing gloves and shin guards should absolutely NOT BE WASHED.

So how do you keep your Krav shin guards in good condition? First, dry them with a towel after training. This prevents sweat from seeping in. But sweat also soaks in during training, of course. Therefore, it's wise for people who sweat a lot to ensure their shin guards are well-ventilated. A doormat is a good place.
