XPRT Competitor V1 kids kickboxing shin guards

The Competitor V1 model is available in many different colors for both boys and girls who practice kickboxing. We consider this the most suitable model for children due to its ease of use and attractive price.

The shin guards are easy to put on like a sock/stocking and are therefore called a stocking-style shin guard.

XPRT Pro V3 kickboxing shin guards

The V3 model is available in various colors for both women and men who practice kickboxing. We find it the best model from XPRT because of its firm fit combined with 2 strong Velcro straps at the back and 2 elastics.

The Pro V3 shin guards from XPRT have elastics both under the foot and behind the Achilles tendon. The completely matte black V3 Midnight version of this shin guard is our absolute bestseller.

Frequently Asked Questions — XPRT shin guards

How should a shin guard (for kickboxing) fit?

In the best case, a shin guard extends exactly to just below your knee

However, we find it at least equally important that the shin guard is not too loose around your legs. So even if it doesn’t quite reach the knee but fits well otherwise, we think that is more important (read: better) than choosing a size larger.

too large shin guard is actually a hindrance and will also tend to slide, which is very annoying during training.

The instep part should at least cover the top of your instep, but with some brands it extends over the entire foot. That’s not necessary. So if your toes stick out - as is the case with the Twins SGL7, for example - that is perfectly fine. After all, you shouldn’t be kicking with your toes.

A shin guard for kickboxing should fit well on your shin, from just below the knee to above the ankle, and should not be too loose or too tight. It should fully cover your shin for optimal protection but must not restrict your movements.

For every shin guard, we have created a unique size chart for that brand and model. Be sure to consult it and when in doubt, choose a smaller size rather than a larger one.

What is the background of the brand XPRT?

The story of XPRT Fight Gear begins in 2005. Enthusiastic martial artist and entrepreneur has dreamed for years of a shop full of the finest fighting gear, accessible and affordable for everyone.

With personal experiences through training internships, seminars, competitions, and research, he has gained a clear vision of how to offer martial arts, fighting sports, and fighting gear to a broader audience in the new millennium.

With extensive experience in Thai boxing, boxing, karate, and especially ITF Taekwon-do, Fight2Win takes the first steps toward a complete product range. Initially, exclusively with ITF Taekwon-do uniforms, safety equipment under the brand and website Taekwon-do.nl.

Then follows the slogan: Fight2Win. And finally, with the help of other martial artists and graphic designers, a logo and a name emerge for a groundbreaking and affordable martial arts brand: XPRT Fight Gear!

Can I use my Xprt Shin guards on the punching bag?

Yes.

In case of bruises or pain in the shins, it is possible to use shin guards.

Using shin guards on the punching bag does cause "scuffmarks" (stains, stripes, and smudges) on the shin guards and punching bag.

What are the weights of the different XPRT shin guards?

The table below shows the average weights of the different XPRT shin guard models. The weight can of course vary by size.

  • Competitor V1 weighs an average of 237 grams per pair
  • All-Round V1 weighs an average of 300 grams per pair
  • Protector V1 weighs an average of 141 grams per pair
  • Competitor V2 weighs an average of 245 grams per pair
  • Top Shins weigh an average of 700 grams per pair
  • pro V3 weighs an average of 730 grams per pair
Can I also use a disinfectant spray for other products, such as shin guards?

Yes.

Although the sprays are specially developed for boxing gloves, you can also use them for other (sports) items.

You can use it for shin guards, for example, but it also works great for smelly sneakers and sports shoes.
