Rival handwraps

Rival handwraps are not an afterthought—they are the foundation of every training session. Developed by people who know what happens inside a boxing glove, Rival handwraps are thinner than conventional handwraps but offer the same—even better—protection for your knuckles, metacarpals, and wrists.

The secret lies in the material composition: a carefully selected blend of cotton, nylon, and polyviscose that provides the perfect balance of stretch, durability, and comfort. Rival handwraps take up less space in your boxing gloves, fit more snugly around the wrist, and last longer than most alternatives on the market.

Rival offers two handwrap lines, each with its own character:

Mexican Stretch - the classic choice. Made from a nylon-cotton blend for light, elastic stretch. Thinner in profile, so they take up less space in your glove. Available in 300, 380, 450, and 530 cm — for every hand size and wrapping preference. Ideal for everyday use in boxing, kickboxing, and thai boxing.

Guerrero - the next level. A hybrid of Mexican style and traditional cotton, made from 70% polyviscose and 30% nylon. Thicker, more comfortable, and with superior tension. The Guerrero is the premium choice for the boxer who wants more body and protection in their handwrap. Available in 450 cm in muted, premium colors.

In short: Mexican Stretch for those who want to wrap lightly and quickly, Guerrero for those seeking maximum support and comfort.

The right length depends on your hand size and your wrapping style.

As a rule of thumb:

• 300 cm - for small hands or minimal wrapping (wrist and knuckles only)
• 380 cm - standard for average-sized hands, enough for a full wrap
• 450 cm - the most popular length, suitable for most boxers and kickboxers
• 530 cm - for large hands or boxers who want extra layers for maximum protection

The  Mexican Stretch is available in:  White, Black, Orange, Pink, Blue, Yellow, Purple and  Red — ideal if you want to match your handwraps with your gloves or gym outfit.

The  Guerrero is available in premium, muted colors:  Black, Charcoal Gray, Navy Blue, Khaki Green, Wine Red and  Gray - matching the premium look of this line.

Both models are supplied per pair and feature a thumb loop and hook-and-loop closure.

Rival handwraps are designed for western boxing but are equally at home in any combat sport where your hands go into a glove. They are used daily for:

• Boxing - the primary application, including by professionals
• Kickboxing - under sparring and bag gloves

Handwraps are essential basic gear - not an optional accessory. They protect the small bones in your hand that are vulnerable to repeated impact without support. Rival handwraps are designed to be washed time and time again without any loss of quality.

A few tips for maximum lifespan:

• Wash them in a laundry bag - especially the Guerrero, to prevent tangling and wear of the woven material
• Roll them up after washing - this helps them retain their shape and keeps them ready for the next training session
• Let them dry completely before use - damp handwraps damage the inside of your gloves
• Have several sets - if you train more than once a week, this is highly recommended so you always have dry handwraps

The Mexican Stretch is machine-washable. It is best to wash the Guerrero separately in a laundry bag for optimal results.
