Hayabusa handwraps - premium nylon-cotton wraps for the serious martial artist

Hayabusa is one of the most respected premium brands in the world of boxing and MMA. The handwraps reflect that reputation—snug, durable, and designed for boxers who never compromise on quality.

The range includes three models: the versatile Perfect Stretch and Perfect Stretch Specialsas everyday training handwraps, and the firmer Deluxe for those who want a premium fit.

Hayabusa handwraps combine a snug feel around the wrist with enough stretch for comfortable wrapping. Washable, durable, and built to withstand intensive long-term use.

Fight2Win carries the complete Hayabusa handwrap range in stock and ready to ship.

Perfect Stretch, Perfect Stretch Specials and Deluxe – choosing the right Hayabusa model

Perfect Stretch is the base model and the best-selling Hayabusa handwrap. Made from nylon-cotton, lightly elastic, and available in eight classic colors: black, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, red, and pink. The ideal everyday training handwrap for boxing, kickboxing, and thai boxing.

Perfect Stretch Specials uses the same nylon-cotton material and 460 cm length, but is available in four graphic prints: Red Tribal, Blue Geo, Purple Lotus, and Orange Maze. For boxers who want to stand out without compromising on quality.

Deluxe is a step up in the range. Made from nylon, sturdier in feel, and available in four color combinations: black, black-gold, blue, and red. The choice for those who want a premium fit and a tighter feel around the wrist.

Hayabusa handwraps are all 460 cm—the standard size for adult boxers.

Hayabusa has made a clear choice: all handwraps are available in one length - 460 cm. That is slightly longer than the usual 450 cm standard and provides just that little extra for a complete wrap around the knuckles, metacarpals, wrist, and thumb.

460 cm is the right size for adult men and women. Long enough to wrap multiple layers around the knuckles and firmly stabilize the wrist—regardless of the size of your hands.

Hayabusa handwraps are not available in a shorter version. For children or boxers with smaller hands looking for a shorter handwrap, we recommend the XPRT Easy Stretch in 250 cm.

Classic colors, graphic prints, and premium colorways—the Hayabusa color palette

Hayabusa offers its own color palette for each model—from functional and sleek to graphic and eye-catching.

The Perfect Stretch is available in eight classic colors: black, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, red, and pink. Timeless, recognizable, and suitable for any training environment.

The Perfect Stretch Specials goes a step further with four graphic prints: Red Tribal, Blue Geo, Purple Lotus, and Orange Maze. Each design is unique and based on geometric patterns—for boxers who see their equipment as a statement.

The Deluxe is available in four premium color combinations: black, black and gold, blue, and red. Sleeker in appearance, with gold accents as a distinctive Hayabusa hallmark.

Hayabusa handwraps for boxing, kickboxing, thai boxing and MMA

Hayabusa handwraps are designed for serious martial artists—people who train regularly and take their equipment seriously. All models are suitable for the full range of martial arts in which gloves are worn.

For boxing intensive striking training and sparring, the Perfect Stretch delivers the combination of stretch and protection you need. The Deluxe is the choice for those who want more wrist support during heavy padwork.

For kickboxing and thai boxing the Perfect Stretch performs excellently as an everyday training wrap. The nylon-cotton material adapts well to the hand and retains its shape even after many training sessions.

For MMA the Perfect Stretch's slim profile is an advantage—compact enough for MMA gloves, with sufficient protection for sparring and grappling with gloves.

The Perfect Stretch Specials and Deluxe are functionally identical to their base models—the choice between these models is purely a matter of aesthetics and personal preference.

How to wash and care for Hayabusa handwraps – keeping them in top condition for many training sessions

Hayabusa handwraps are made of nylon and nylon-cotton—materials that withstand intensive use and frequent washing. With proper care, they retain their shape, stretch, and color over the long term.

Wash your handwraps after every training session, or at least regularly. Use a laundry bag to prevent the wraps from tangling with each other or wrapping around other clothing during washing.

Set the washing machine to 30°C and a low spin speed. Fasten the hook-and-loop closure before washing—this prevents it from snagging on and damaging other materials.

Never tumble dry. Hang the handwraps to dry at room temperature. Heat damages the nylon fibers and reduces elasticity over time.

After drying, rolling them up and storing them prevents creasing. Also wash them before first use—this immediately makes the material softer and more comfortable from the very first wrap.

Frequently asked questions — Hayabusa handwraps

What is the background of the Hayabusa brand?

Hayabusa (pronounced Ha-Ja-Boe-Sa) is the Japanese word for peregrine falcon, the fastest animal on Earth (a bird of prey recorded at over 500 km/h in a dive). The company was founded in 2006 by Ken & Craig Clement, David Zikakis and Luke Harris and has literally taken flight ever since.

Hayabusa is headquartered in Ontario (Canada) and has its global distribution centre in the heart of Las Vegas (United States). Not entirely coincidentally, this is also where the biggest boxing matches and UFC events take place. Hayabusa also has two exclusive contracts with independent sports centres in Canada, where all Hayabusa products are extensively tested.

Hayabusa aims to offer the best materials in terms of comfort, fit, anatomy and, more importantly, performance and safety! A martial artist is constantly improving and developing themselves. This is a Japanese philosophy that is also applied in business and at Hayabusa: Kaizen. This is the concept of “continuous improvement.

What material are the Hayabusa handwraps made of?

There are two types of Hayabusa handwraps: Deluxe and Perfect Stretch.

Perfect Stretch:

  • 50% nylon, 50% cotton blend for the ideal amount of stretch and a comfortable level of comfort and protection

Deluxe:

  • 100% nylon yarn: a luxurious material that feels smooth and comfortable and offers exceptional durability

Why are Hayabusa handwraps so popular?

Hayabusa handwraps are exceptionally high quality at a very reasonable price. Quality control is excellent for these handwraps, so they rarely, if ever, have any defects.

The material is finished to a particularly high standard, especially in the Deluxe version. It also features a very stylish rubber label as a closure.

Both the Perfect Stretch and Deluxe handwraps from Hayabusa are also very comfortable and easy to apply. These are more than enough reasons why they are a true bestseller when it comes to handwraps for boxing, cardio boksen, or Thai boxing.

What is the best way to wash Hayabusa handwraps?

The best way to wash your Hayabusa handwraps is to wash them in a laundry bag at a low temperature (30°C or lower) in the washing machine. Hand washing is actually even better.

It is important to fasten the wraps' hook-and-loop closures together before washing to prevent them from catching on each other. After washing, let the handwraps air-dry naturally. Do not put them in the dryer, as they may shrink and crease unnecessarily.

  • Partially roll up the handwraps and place them in a laundry bag or bra wash bag.
  • Wash the handwraps in the washing machine at a maximum of 30°C or use a hand-wash cycle.
  • Let the handwraps air-dry, preferably hung up at full length.
  • Do not put the handwraps in the dryer.

Extra tips:

  • Wash the handwraps regularly (after every training session) to keep them hygienically clean and fresh.
  • You can optionally use a mild detergent, but rinse the handwraps thoroughly to prevent soap residue.
  • Let the handwraps dry completely after washing before using them again.

How elastic are the Hayabusa handwraps?
  • The Perfect Stretch has light, controlled elasticity - enough stretch to wrap comfortably and adapt to the hand, but not so much that the handwrap stretches out or loses its shape after frequent use. The elasticity is specifically tailored to boxing: sufficient flexibility for movement, and sufficient firmness for wrist support.
  • The Hayabusa Deluxe has has a firmer, less elastic construction than the Perfect Stretch—similar to a semi-stretch handwrap. This provides greater rigidity and a secure wrapping structure, resulting in better wrist support during intense training. Boxers who prioritize maximum support over comfort choose the Deluxe.
