He Young Kimm

Dr. He Young Kimm is the founder of Han Mu Do, one of the most broadly credentialed Korean martial artists of his generation. Holding high-level Dan grades in Taekwondo, Hapkido, Ssireum, Taekkyon and other Korean arts alongside expertise in Judo and Aikido, Kimm developed Han Mu Do in 1990 as a comprehensive synthesis of Korean martial arts traditions. Based at Louisiana State University in the United States, he has been instrumental in spreading Korean martial arts internationally through both teaching and prolific academic writing on martial arts history and philosophy.
