Wrapped twice around the waist—the usual method in martial arts
In almost all martial arts, the belt is wrapped twice around the waist—this distinguishes the budo belt from the ITF Taekwon-do belt, which is wrapped once around the waist.
The belt size corresponds to the size of the budogi being worn. Typically, a belt size 4/170 is used with a 170 cm uniform.
