My name is Gabriël and I have been doing an internship at Fight2win for a month now. I am really enjoying it and learning a lot about martial arts and the products we sell to practice these sports. Recently, the latest film in the boxing franchise Creed was released (Creed 3). Since I had already seen all the previous parts, I naturally had to see this one in the cinema as well. I decided to go to the movie with my cousins after finishing my workday at the internship. I also talked about the film there, and we agreed it was a good idea to write a small blog about it.
Creed 3 is the newest installment in the popular boxing franchise, and fans were eagerly awaiting its release. The film promises to deliver all the thrilling action and emotional drama that the audience has come to expect from the Creed series. If you have seen the previous Creed editions, you know that a lot of attention is given to the journey to the top. In the earlier films, you see Adonis Creed training with former boxer Rocky Balboa to become world champion.
Creed 3 is different
In Creed 3, things are a bit different. Adonis has retired from boxing after becoming champion in part 2. Now he focuses on his gym and wants to help young talent become as big as he is. Together with his old trainer Duke, he now runs the gym, and one great boxing talent has emerged who is so good that no sparring partners dare to fight him anymore.
Creed 3 gives us a completely different view of Adonis than what we are used to from the previous parts. We actually see a younger version of him in the film, which is something we haven’t seen before in the first two editions. This gives a kind of relief because the first two parts were very similar in story, but now they are going in a completely different direction, which made it even more exciting and fun.
In this story, Adonis’s old best friend (Dame) returns. He used to be one of the best boxers of his age, but due to unfortunate circumstances, it never worked out. In the film, Dame comes back into Adonis’s life after a long time, and now his goal is to return to the highest level. That’s why he asks Adonis for help, but ultimately the film takes a very different turn...
What sets Creed 3 apart from its predecessors is the new creative team behind the camera. Director Michael B. Jordan, who also stars as Adonis Creed, brings a fresh perspective to the franchise and promises to steer the story in exciting new directions. Of course, no Creed film would be complete without a cast of talented actors. Besides Jordan, the film features returning stars Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, and Wood Harris, as well as newcomers like Jonathan Majors and Indya Moore.

What caught my attention in the film was that during the boxing matches as well as the intense training sessions, the fight gear from Cleto Reyes was used. With its combination of heart-wrenching boxing scenes, powerful performances, and emotional depth, Creed 3 is sure to be one of the most talked-about films of the year. Whether you have been a fan of the franchise for a long time or are new to the series, this is a film you don’t want to miss. After the film, I really felt like I could take on the world, and I thought to myself how it would be if I could fight as well as the actors in the movie. Looking at the physique of Michael B. Jordan and/or Jonathan Majors only motivates me more to train and one day have a body like that.
