In Thai boxing (and kickboxing like Glory, Enfusion, etc.), handwraps, boxing gloves, mouthguards, and groinguards are worn. Nothing else. Shin guards are not allowed, but ankle guards are. These therefore contribute just that little bit of protection fighters can use.
