It uses Fluid-Fit technology, allowing the mouthguard to mold completely around your teeth. This helps it stay perfectly in place during sports.

SafeJawz's Jaw-Secure technology ensures that your lower teeth are still protected, even though this is a single mouthguard.

Thanks to the unique shape of the bottom, your lower teeth effectively click into the mouthguard. This provides perfect protection for both your teeth and jaw.

The mouthguard can be remolded up to 3 times if you are not completely satisfied with the fit.

SafeJawz mouthguards are suitable for both professional and recreational athletes. Like many mouthguards, this mouthguard must be fitted before use. Instructions are included, of course.

Boil water in a saucepan (or kettle), then remove it from the heat for a few seconds. Next, place the mouthguard in the water briefly until it becomes soft.

Then place it over the upper row of teeth in your mouth and gently bite into it with your lower jaw. Press against the gums with your fingers so that the shape forms correctly. It is also important to gently suck while doing this.

How do I keep my mouthguard hygienically clean and fresh?

It’s best to clean your mouthguard after every use. At the very least, rinse the mouthguard under running water.

You do this to remove bacteria that can grow and multiply in your mouthguard.

The best step-by-step plan for keeping your mouthguard clean:

1. Rinse:
Rinse your mouthguard under lukewarm water immediately after use to remove food particles and saliva.

2. Clean:
Use a soft toothbrush and a special mouthguard cleaner to clean the mouthguard.

3. Rinse thoroughly:
After cleaning, rinse the mouthguard thoroughly under running water to remove all residue.

4. Dry:
Allow the mouthguard to air-dry completely. It’s best to do this in a clean, ventilated antimicrobial Protective case specifically designed for this purpose.

5. Store:
Store the dry mouthguard in the designated antimicrobial Protective case so it stays clean and hygienically fresh until the next training session.

What’s the story behind SafeJawz?

SafeJawz was founded by two martial arts athletes. At SafeJawz, they understand the importance of a well-fitting mouthguard that doesn't fall short when it comes to protection or comfort.

The founders built the brand from the ground up. Starting with an investment of £1,500 (raised by co-founder Ewan Jones by selling his car), the entrepreneurs bought sports accessories at sale prices and began selling them at market stalls and through online marketplaces.

The brand specializes in both self-fitting and custom-made (handcrafted) mouthguards. Today, SafeJawz offers mouthguards for professional elite athletes, including England rugby internationals Joe Marler and Courtney Lawes, and world champion boxers, including George Groves and Charlie Edwards.

They now sell their products in 35 countries, and exports remain a key growth strategy for the company.

What is Brace Harbour?

The SafeJawz mouthguards from the Ortho range provide full protection for the upper braces thanks to the patented Brace Harbour™.

This works together with the Lowerblok™, protecting the lips and inside of the cheeks from the lower braces (if the wearer has them).

Brace Harbour™ creates space for the upper braces, reduces discomfort, and improves the mouthguard’s “grip”. The “Brace Harbour” on the upper side fits snugly around your brackets, keeping it securely in place.
