Hayabusa Quick Gel wraps combine neoprene padding with a rubber grip

From Hayabusa Quick Gel wraps are inner gloves with neoprene padding on the knuckles - put them on like fingerless gloves, wrap the strap around your wrist, and you're ready to go. Faster than handwraps, easier for beginners, and just as washable.

Available in black, purple, blue, and gray—from S to XL—for children and adults in boxing, kickboxing, thai boxing, and cardio boksen.

From S to XL – for women and men

From Hayabusa Quick Gel wraps are available in S to XL, making them suitable for women's hands through to large adult men's hands. The elastic polyester-neoprene blend conforms to the hand for a snug fit.

Choose a size based on your hand size—consult the size chart on the product page for the right recommendation.

Quick to put on and easy to wash

Put on the Quick Gel wraps like a fingerless glove, wrap the band around your wrist a few times, and fasten it with the hook-and-loop closure. Suitable for boxing, kickboxing, thai boxing, cardio boksen, and personal training.

Wash them regularly at a low temperature or by hand—this keeps them fresh and maintains their shape for many hours of training.

Frequently asked questions — Hayabusa gel-wraps

What is the background of the Hayabusa brand?

Hayabusa (pronounced Ha-Ja-Boe-Sa) is the Japanese word for peregrine falcon, the fastest animal on Earth (a bird of prey recorded at over 500 km/h in a dive). The company was founded in 2006 by Ken & Craig Clement, David Zikakis and Luke Harris and has literally taken flight ever since.

Hayabusa is headquartered in Ontario (Canada) and has its global distribution centre in the heart of Las Vegas (United States). Not entirely coincidentally, this is also where the biggest boxing matches and UFC events take place. Hayabusa also has two exclusive contracts with independent sports centres in Canada, where all Hayabusa products are extensively tested.

Hayabusa aims to offer the best materials in terms of comfort, fit, anatomy and, more importantly, performance and safety! A martial artist is constantly improving and developing themselves. This is a Japanese philosophy that is also applied in business and at Hayabusa: Kaizen. This is the concept of “continuous improvement.

Are gel-wraps good for replacing handwraps?

Yes.

Gel-wraps are a good alternative to traditional handwraps, wraps, or windings. Gelwraps are a type of inner gloves, usually with extra padding over the knuckles.

Can I wash gel-wraps?

Yes.

Gel-wraps are best washed in a laundry bag or bra bag at 30°C or lower in the washing machine. Hand washing is actually even better.

It is important to fasten the hook-and-loop closures together before washing to prevent them from catching on other clothes or on each other. After washing, let the gel-wraps air-dry naturally. Do not put them in the dryer, as this may cause them to shrink and crease unnecessarily.

  • Partially roll up the gel-wraps and place them in a laundry bag or bra bag.
  • Wash the gel-wraps in the washing machine at a maximum of 30°C or hand wash them.
  • Let the gel-wraps air-dry, preferably hung out fully extended.
  • Do not put the gel-wraps in the dryer.

Additional tips:

  • Wash the gel-wraps regularly (after every training session) to keep them hygienically clean and fresh.
  • You can use a mild detergent if desired, but rinse the gel-wraps thoroughly to prevent soap residue.
  • Let the gel-wraps dry completely after washing before using them again.

What is neoprene?

Neoprene is a synthetic rubber material.

It is widely used because it is a versatile, safe, and durable material. Neoprene was originally developed to replace rubber and therefore has the same positive properties: flexible and sturdy at the same time.

Neoprene is used in many products, such as gaskets, wetsuits, and laptop sleeves. In the martial arts world, it is used, among other things, for knuckle guards, gelwraps, elbow pads, and knee pads.
