In Muay Thai and kickboxing, the ankles are put under strain with every kick - both when delivering the kick and when absorbing blocks. Ankle supports offer two benefits: they stabilize the joint and reduce the risk of sprains, while also protecting the skin against abrasions caused by contact with the opponent's shin guards.
