Care, washing & storage
  • Wipe the outside of the punching bag with a slightly damp cloth to remove sweat and dirt. Do not use harsh cleaning products, as they can damage the material and shorten the punching bag’s lifespan.
  • Make sure the punching bag hangs in a dry environment to prevent mold.
  • Use leather grease/leather conditioner once a month to prevent cracking and drying out (for leather punching bags).
  • Always wear bag gloves and/or handwraps.
  • Check the chain and suspension system for signs of wear. If they are damaged, you must replace them.
  • Over time, a punching bag will “settle.” The filling compresses under the force of gravity. Usually, you can refill the punching bag yourself from the top with suitable filling.

Hydrobag vs. punching bag - what is the difference?

A traditional punching bag is filled with sand, textiles, or foam - the material is hard and does not give way on impact. A hydrobag is filled with water - water has a different density and gives way on contact, making the impact more realistic while putting less strain on the hands and wrists than a hard punching bag.

Moreover, because of its weight (55 or 85 kg), the hydrobag swings much less than a traditional punching bag - making it easier to train combinations without the bag swinging too far away.

Filling with water - easy with a garden hose

The hydrobag has a large opening and a valve that you can loosen with a screwdriver. Connect a garden hose using the included nozzle and fill the bag to the desired weight. Tip: add a few drops of chlorine so the water does not spoil.

Hang the hydrobag at the correct height before filling it - once filled, it is almost impossible to lift. The included rope and ring make installation easy. Suitable for home use and gyms.
