Bytomic has supplied martial arts equipment to the UK market since 1991. The company started out to meet a need for sparring gear and grew into a supplier and manufacturer of martial arts products.

The range includes its own products and those from other brands, from clothing and protective gear to training equipment.

The Bytomic Defender Black is made of ultra-light foam with a durable protective coating. The foam effectively absorbs and disperses the impact of punches and kicks, while the coating keeps the headgear hygienic and easy to clean .

The Bytomic Defender features ahook-and-loop fastening. This makes the headgearquick and easy to put on and take off, while keeping it securely in place during intense training sessions and competitions.

Martial arts headgear, such as that often used in Taekwondo, is regularly made from modern foam. This headgear offers significant advantages over other materials.

There is no single general list that remains accurate for all youth and adult competitions. Check not only what you must wear, but also which models, certifications, and colors are allowed.

Depending on the design, headgear provides extra coverage around areas such as the forehead, cheeks and ears. A proper fit and clear visibility are important for training equipment to be practical.

More facial coverage does not mean that all types of head injury are prevented. Headgear does not guarantee protection against concussion and is not a reason to sparren harder or without restraint. Check the intended use and the training or competition rules.

We usually do two things in our showroom:

1. Quickly shake your head from side to side
2. Tap all sides of the headgear. Preferably use a slightly sliding technique to force friction.

If the headgear barely moves or does not move at all and does not pinch at the same time, you have the right size!
