Precision against a moving target.

The double-end bag is a different type of training bag from the speed bag—smaller, faster, and less predictable in its rebound. Whereas a speed bag rebounds rhythmically and predictably, a double-end bag is suspended between the floor and ceiling by elastic cords and moves in all directions after impact. This makes the double-end bag ideal for training precision, reaction speed, and defensive movement against a realistically moving target.

The Cleto Reyes double-end bag is shaped like a human head, enabling focused training of jabs, straight punches, and hooks aimed at specific target zones. The leather is sturdy and provides a direct response on impact, the rubber bladder retains its shape even with intensive daily use, and a replacement bladder is included as standard.

Fight2Win carries three models: the Red (red leather), the Classic (black leather), and the Mexico (Mexican tricolor)—identical in construction and size; the only difference is the color.

Cleto Reyes double-end balls – for training at the highest level

The double-end ball is a different type of training ball than the speedball—smaller, faster, and more unpredictable in its rebound. While a speedball hangs from a platform and rebounds rhythmically, a double-end ball is suspended between the floor and ceiling with elastic cords and moves in all directions after impact. This makes the double-end ball ideal for training precision, reaction speed, and defensive movements.

Cleto Reyes builds the double-end ball according to the same philosophy as the rest of its range— 100% leather, handmade in Mexico, extensively tested by professionals. The ball is shaped like a human head, enabling focused training of jabs, straight punches, and hooks on a realistic target surface.

The filling consists of a polyester (rubber) bladder —a spare bladder is included as standard. Cleto Reyes leather has a sturdy construction that retains its shape even with intensive daily use.

Fight2Win offers three models: the Red (red leather), the Classic (black leather), and the Mexico (Mexican tricolor)—all three measuring 28 × 18 cm and all three available directly from stock. Installation requires two mounting points and elastic cords—not included, but available from Fight2Win.

Red, Classic and Mexico – same format, distinct character

The three Cleto Reyes double-end balls are identical in construction and size—all three measure 28x18 cm, are made of 100% leather, have a rubber bladder with a spare included, and are handmade in Mexico. The only difference is the color.

The  Red is made of  red leather - a striking color that makes the ball highly visible during training and suits the classic boxing aesthetic of red training equipment.

The  Classic is made of  black leather - neutral and timeless, it fits into any boxing gym or home gym without standing out.

The  Mexico is made in the  Mexican tricolor - green, white, and red. It has the same look as the Cleto Reyes Mexico speed bag, for boxers who want to pay tribute to the Mexican boxing tradition.

In terms of punch response, rebound behavior, and durability, the three models are  fully equivalent - the choice is purely a matter of preference. All three are supplied with a spare bladder and require two mounting points and elastic cords for installation.

Why a double-end ball trains differently from a speed bag

The biggest difference between a double-end ball and a speedball lies in its freedom of movement and the shape of the ball.

A speedball is suspended from a single point and rebounds rhythmically and predictably, making it suitable for training rhythm and punching speed. A double-end ball is suspended between the floor and ceiling with elastic cords and moves in all directions after impact, making its rebound unpredictable and placing greater demands on reaction time and precision.

head shape of the Cleto Reyes double-end ball adds an extra dimension: the ball is shaped like a human head, enabling targeted training of specific target zones Jabs, straight punches, and hooks can be practiced on a realistic target surface, reducing the gap between training and sparring and competition. The double-end ball therefore trains skills that a speedball does not:

accuracy against a moving target, defensive footwork, and repositioning after a combination . Many professional boxers use both tools alongside each other: the speedball for rhythm and speed, and the double-end ball for precision and reaction.Installation requires two

mounting points (floor and ceiling) and elastic cords—not included, but available from Fight2Win. (vloer en plafond) en elastiek - niet inbegrepen, maar wel verkrijgbaar bij Fight2Win.

Installing a double-end ball – attachment points, elastic cord and the correct tension

A double-end ball is mounted between the floor and ceiling using two attachment points and elastic—one point above (ceiling) and one point below (floor). The ball hangs in the middle of the elastic and moves in all directions after impact before the elastic pulls it back.

The tension of the elastic determines the speed and rebound behavior of the ball. Tighter elastic produces a faster and more direct rebound, placing greater demands on reaction speed and timing. Looser elastic produces a slower and more unpredictable movement pattern, giving you more time to reposition after a punch. Start with slightly looser tension if you are new to the double-end ball and adjust it as your skill level increases.

The height of the ball is adjusted by changing the length of the elastic—the ball should ideally hang at eye level or slightly above, so you can train jabs, straight punches, and hooks at a realistic level.

Cleto Reyes double-end balls are supplied without attachment points or elastic —these are not included but are available from Fight2Win. You need two attachment points (floor and ceiling) and enough elastic to set the desired tension and height.

Double-end ball training – jabs, straight punches, and hooks against a moving target

The double-end ball is ideal for training hand techniques on a moving and unpredictable target - a skill that can be applied directly in sparring and competitions.

Jabs - the most commonly used punch on the double-end ball. The ball quickly moves back after a jab and requires immediate repositioning for the next punch. Regular training on the double-end ball makes the jab faster, more accurate, and more consistent.

Straight punches and hooks - the main shape of the Cleto Reyes double-end ball allows focused training of straight punches and hooks on specific target zones. This reduces the gap between training and sparring, where hitting a specific area on an opponent's head is central.

Combinations - the double-end ball challenges you to train combinations on a target that changes position after every punch. This trains not only the punches themselves, but also footwork and repositioning between punches - a skill that cannot be trained on a regular punching bag.

Defensive movements - the rebounding ball simulates an opponent who strikes back, making the double-end ball suitable for training slipping and bobbing as a response to an incoming punch.

Care for Cleto Reyes double-end balls – maintain the leather and bladder separately

The Cleto Reyes double-end ball consists of two parts, each requiring its own maintenance - the leather outer layer and the Rubber bladder inside.

Leather - after every training session - wipe the ball with a dry cloth to remove sweat and moisture. Sweat damages leather with prolonged contact - wiping it immediately after use significantly extends its lifespan.

Leather - periodically - treat the leather with a leather conditioner to prevent drying and cracking. A thin layer of conditioner every few weeks is sufficient. Store the ball at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Rubber bladder - periodically check the bladder for air loss. A bladder that slowly deflates affects the ball's rebound and makes consistent training more difficult. Cleto Reyes includes a spare bladder as standard - replacing it requires some time and concentration and does not necessarily mean that the ball itself has reached the end of its lifespan.

Elastic and attachment points - regularly check the Elastic for wear and stretching. Elastic that is stretched too far causes slower and more irregular rebound. Replace the Elastic at the first signs of wear or loss of tension.
