Maintaining Cleto Reyes double-end balls – care for the leather and bladder separately
The Cleto Reyes double-end ball consists of two parts, each requiring its own maintenance - the leather exterior and the Rubber bladder inside.
Leather - after every training session - wipe the ball with a dry cloth to remove sweat and moisture. Sweat damages leather with prolonged contact - wiping it immediately after use significantly extends its lifespan.
Leather - periodically - treat the leather with a leather conditioner to prevent drying and cracking. A thin layer of conditioner every few weeks is sufficient. Store the ball at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Rubber bladder - periodically check the bladder for air loss. A bladder that slowly deflates affects the ball's rebound and makes consistent training more difficult. Cleto Reyes includes a spare bladder as standard - replacing it requires some time and concentration and does not necessarily mean that the ball itself has reached the end of its lifespan.
Elastic and attachment points - regularly check the Elastic for wear and stretching. Elastic that has been stretched too far produces a slower and more irregular rebound. Replace the Elastic at the first signs of wear or loss of tension.
