The most commonly used training methods in various martial arts are so-called pad and kickbag training. There are various names for this training: pad training, kickbag training, mitt work, etc.
Nowadays, many personal trainers also make extensive use of this training method. It's safe (no contact with a partner), efficient (burns a lot of fat and provides cardio), and fun.
There are various types of punching and kicking pads on the market, and of course, they are also available for purchase at Fight2Win: small hand pads, focus pads, Thai pads, and large kicking pads. These can all be used for different types of training.

Small hand pads and punching mitts
These pads are among our best-selling pads. The XPRT hand pads, in particular, are selling very well. They are available from just 30 euros per pair, so they represent a minimal investment.
The hand pads are ideal for punching training in particular. Of course, these hand pads are frequently used in kickboxing and Muay Thai, but many other martial artists also benefit greatly from them.
Of course, all martial arts and combat sports that use hand techniques can make optimal use of these pads during pad and kickbag training.

Think of martial arts and self-defense sports such as Krav Maga, Karate, Taekwondo, and Kung Fu, for example. The principle of the training is simple: people work in pairs - hence, as mentioned earlier, it is also popular with personal trainers and small group training - and one person indicates the pads with their hands in the pads or on command (more advanced training).
Another option is to simply have a stationary target and hold the pads statically high, so that the person punching determines their own pace.

Focus pads / Focus mitts
Focus pads are similar to the smaller hand pads, but are more versatile. For example, you can grip the focus pads in two ways, with the palm up or down.
This allows one to practice a wide range of techniques, from punches to all kinds of kicks. Furthermore, the pads can be changed quickly, making them very suitable for intensive, high-tempo training.
Many Taekwondo schools in particular use these types of cushions, but they are - if you know how to use them properly - suitable for all kinds of fighting techniques.
Using these small pads is similar to using hand pads, except it's easier to alternate combinations of striking and kicking techniques. For advanced martial artists, it's also possible to set random sequences to train reaction speed.

Large kicking shield
The large kicking shields are very popular with many fighters and recreational users during pad and kick pad training. These are probably also the best-known punching pads.
Large kicking shields are available in many variations and price ranges. They are ideal for beginners and children who, to put it bluntly, are not yet very good at aiming.
They are also very suitable for advanced users, because these cushions allow them to fully exercise their technique.

Thai pads, arm pads of Pao
Thai pads, also known as arm pads or Pao (the Thai name), are an essential part of Thai schools. They are indispensable in any serious training camp, dojo, and/or gym.
Thai pads are used to practice all sorts of techniques, but they are especially suitable for practicing knees and hard power kicks.
The price of Thai pads starts at around 80 euros and can go well over 200 euros for the most professional and heavy-duty versions. Thai pads cover the entire forearm and come with a grip bar and sturdy, adjustable straps.
