More than 1,600 participants, coaches, referees, and instructors from 48 countries will gather near Varna, Bulgaria, from July 5 to 12, 2026, for the 20th edition of the International Martial Arts Summer Camp. This year marks two decades of successful international cooperation and the development of martial arts and combat sports worldwide.
For eight days, Bulgaria will become a global martial arts hub, bringing together representatives of different schools and countries for training, competitions, and the exchange of experience. Camp participants will follow an intensive program featuring daily Kyokushin karate and kickboxing training, specialized Iaido lessons, and seminars for referees to enhance their professional qualifications and sporting excellence.
The anniversary edition of the international camp will also include a series of prestigious international events. On July 7, the "Varna" World Cup in Kyokushin Karate for juniors and cadets will take place, bringing together some of the most promising young athletes from around the world.
On July 9 and 10, the third edition of the KWU SENSHI Amateur World Cup 2026 will take center stage at the sports hall of the Kamchia Resort Complex. The tournament will feature 48 participants divided into eight weight classes. The qualifying bouts are scheduled for July 9, while the semifinals and finals the following day will determine the new world champions.
The highlight of the martial arts week is the SENSHI 32 Grand Prix international professional fight gala on July 11. At the beach arena of the St. St. Constantine and Helena Resort in Varna, 16 fighters from 13 countries will compete in an elimination tournament in the up-to-85 kg weight class, where the new SENSHI Grand Prix champion will be crowned. The event will also include two super fights.
With its 20th edition, the International Martial Arts Summer Camp further strengthens its position as one of the largest and most important martial arts events in the world. This week, dedicated to martial arts and combat sports, combines high-level training, international tournaments, and professional fights, transforming Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast into a key meeting point for the global martial arts community from every continent.
