The Everlast Titan is designed for intensive sessions—in the gym, during group classes, and in personal training. With a large striking surface, optimal shock absorption, and an ergonomic design, the Titan is suitable for boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, karate, and krav maga.

Not too hard, not too soft—the padding is suited to a wide range of uses, from beginners to advanced fighters.

Below, you’ll find everything about the Titan: its design, specifications, use, and maintenance.

Everlast Titan – robust, reliable, and ready for the toughest work

The Everlast Titan is not a kicking shield for the recreational athlete who trains once a week. It is a professional kicking shield designed for intensive sessions—in the gym, during group classes, and in personal training.

Everlast is one of the most recognizable names in boxing, with a history dating back to 1910. The Titan translates that legacy into a modern, versatile training tool.

What sets the Titan apart: premium durability, optimal shock absorption, and an ergonomic design that protects both the trainer and the fighter. Session after session, year after year.

Everlast Titan – the only model you need

The Titan is available in one version - and it has been deliberately designed to be suitable for almost any training situation. Measuring 64 x 38 x 15 cm the pad has a large striking surface suitable for kicks, punches, knees, and elbows.

The ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip for the trainer, even during extended sessions. The optimal shock absorption protects the trainer from wrist strain, even under the heaviest impact.

The Titan is made of strong synthetic leather - a material that withstands intensive use and is easy to clean.

Everlast Titan – suitable for every skill level and every session

The Titan is available in one size - and its 64 x 38 cm striking surface has been deliberately made large. It offers sufficient surface area for beginners who are still working on their precision, as well as advanced fighters going all out with powerful combinations.

The pad is neither too hard nor too soft - the padding is designed for versatile use. It effectively absorbs both light punches from younger athletes and powerful kicks from advanced kickboxers without putting strain on the trainer's wrists.

Suitable for personal training and group classes - the Titan is light enough to hold for a long time and sturdy enough to absorb the toughest work.

Everlast Titan – sleek and available for immediate delivery

The Everlast Titan is available in a sleek black design - timeless, professional, and at home in any gym. No flashy prints or colors—the Titan lets its performance speak for itself.

Fight2Win has the Titan in stock and delivers quickly from the Netherlands throughout the Benelux and EU. Visit the product page for current availability.

Everlast Titan – at home in every martial art

The Titan is designed for boxing and kickboxing, but thanks to its large striking surface and sturdy construction, it is also excellent for Muay Thai, karate, taekwondo, krav maga and MMA. Knee and elbow strikes can be trained safely thanks to the thick cushioning layer.

The pad is particularly popular with personal trainers and group class coaches who work with athletes of different levels. The combination of a large striking surface, comfortable weight, and good shock absorption makes the Titan a versatile and reliable training tool for any setting.

Everlast Titan - Maintenance and Lifespan

The Titan is made of durable synthetic leather - a material that withstands sweat, impact, and intensive use. Wipe the pad after every session with a damp cloth and let it dry before storing.

Do not use harsh cleaning products—a mild soap solution is sufficient. Store the Titan away from direct sunlight and not in a damp area to prevent discoloration and the material from drying out.

With proper use and care, the Titan will withstand many intensive training sessions, even with daily use in a professional gym.

Which is better: a hard or soft kicking shield?

Both are perfectly suitable for any training session, so let’s establish that first.

Nevertheless, there are differences and situations in which you would prefer a hard or soft kicking shield.

Soft kicking shields are generally more suitable for beginners than hard kicking shields. Beginners are not yet accustomed to hitting objects or other people with body parts such as their shins and feet. They are simply not as hardened or conditioned yet. Soft shields hurt the person performing the technique less.

However, even beginners may experience drawbacks when using (too) soft kicking shields. Take a front kick with the toes pulled back, for example. If the shield is too soft, your toes can get caught in it, which may still lead to (unnecessary) injuries.

Another disadvantage of soft kicking shields is that you may simply kick through them, unnecessarily hurting the person holding the shield.

Hard kicking shields are especially suitable if you already have a good command of the techniques, allowing you to perform them at (almost) full power without causing your partner too much harm. Hard kicking shields can generally absorb more impact. This can make a huge difference, especially with real “power kicks” such as a back kick.

However, if you kick a hard kicking shield incorrectly—for example, during a roundhouse kick when your instep or foot is not positioned properly—you will also notice this from the pain you experience.

Soft kicking shields:

  • good for beginners
  • better for getting used to it
  • be careful not to kick through them

Hard kicking shields:

  • good for advanced practitioners
  • can be kicked at full power
  • less forgiving of incorrect technique

What is the difference between punching mitts, focus pads, Thai pads and kicking shields?

Punching mitts, also known as focus pads called compact pads that are held by a trainer during a training session. The terms punching mitts and focus pads are used interchangeably. However, in our view, there are subtle differences between them, which is why our website distinguishes between them. Punching mitts are primarily intended for punches and punching techniques.

Thai pads, also known as kickpads or pao, are larger pads held by a trainer for practising both punches and kicks.

Punching shields are usually large, round cushions that the trainer or partner holds in front of the body. They are particularly suitable for various punching techniques, including hooks, liver shots and uppercuts.

Kicking shields are the really large cushions used for punches and kicks. They are ideal for beginners and children who, frankly, are not yet very accurate. They are also highly suitable for advanced practitioners, as these shields allow them to practise their technique with full force .

Why are some kicking shields slightly curved?

Some kicking shields are slightly curved, unlike the usually straight shape. The idea behind this is to better imitate the natural shape of the body and the way kicks and punches are absorbed.

Some trainers believe this makes training more comfortable and also more effective.

Reasons for the slight curve in kicking shields:

  • Better absorption of force: the curved shape of kicking shields helps absorb the impact of kicks and punches more effectively. This reduces the pressure on the arms and shoulders of the person holding the shield.
  • Natural posture: the shield follows the natural shape of the body, resulting in a more comfortable posture when absorbing kicks and punches.
  • Improved grip: the curved shape can also contribute to a better grip and greater stability of the shield. This makes it easier for the trainer/partner to hold the shield.
  • Reduced injuries: thanks to better shock absorption and a more natural posture, the curved shield can help prevent injuries to both the trainer and the person training.
  • Realistic training: the curved shape of the kicking shield also makes training more realistic, as it allows you to better imitate the movements of a real opponent.
