Specific features

  • + Hundreds of silicone beads – non-slip interior

The inside of the Hayabusa T3 shin guards features hundreds of silicone beads that provide a non-slip grip on your leg. The guards stay perfectly in place—even during the toughest sparring sessions—without twisting or slipping down.

  • + Anatomically shaped – left & right

The Hayabusa T3 shin guards are anatomically pre-shaped with separate left and right models. This ensures a seamless fit on your legs - not a generic fit, but a guard that precisely follows the contour of your shin for maximum protection and comfort during every training session.

  • + Durable hook-and-loop closure

A durable hook-and-loop fastening ensures quick and reliable fastening that maintains its grip even after intensive use.

The fastening is easy to adjust for an optimal fit and stays firmly in place during the toughest training sessions and competitions.

  • + Lightweight

A lightweight construction means less fatigue during training—without compromising protection or durability. Less weight on your hands or head allows for faster movements, less muscle fatigue, and better technique during longer sessions.

Especially for boxers and kickboxers working on speed and endurance, weight is a factor that matters. Lightweight equipment lets you train harder and longer without the gear slowing you down.

  • + Premium Italian leather

Italian leather is renowned worldwide for its exceptional quality, fine finish, and durability. In the martial arts world, it is used for products where both aesthetics and performance matter—the material feels premium, looks sharp, and lasts through many hours of training with proper care.

The leather is naturally supple, gradually molds to the user, and retains its appearance even after intensive use. A deliberate choice of material for athletes who refuse to compromise.

Tips for Hayabusa T3 Shin guards

From Hayabusa T3 shin guards are available in sizes S to XL - take your size seriously. Shin guards that are too large slide around while kicking, while those that are too small do not provide enough coverage for the shin.

An ankle sock under the T3 can prevent chafing, keep the inside clean, and provide extra grip on the leg. The double hook-and-loop closure is most secure when you fasten it from bottom to top.

What does Italian leather mean?

In short: Italian leather is considered the highest quality leather.

Italian leather has long been synonymous with impeccable quality and enduring elegance, a testament to Italy's deep-rooted history in the art of leather craftsmanship.

What is the background of the Hayabusa brand?

Hayabusa (pronounced Ha-Ja-Boe-Sa) is the Japanese word for peregrine falcon, the fastest animal on Earth (a bird of prey recorded at over 500 km/h in a dive). The company was founded in 2006 by Ken & Craig Clement, David Zikakis and Luke Harris and has literally taken flight ever since.

Hayabusa is headquartered in Ontario (Canada) and has its global distribution centre in the heart of Las Vegas (United States). Not entirely coincidentally, this is also where the biggest boxing matches and UFC events take place. Hayabusa also has two exclusive contracts with independent sports centres in Canada, where all Hayabusa products are extensively tested.

Hayabusa aims to offer the best materials in terms of comfort, fit, anatomy and, more importantly, performance and safety! A martial artist is constantly improving and developing themselves. This is a Japanese philosophy that is also applied in business and at Hayabusa: Kaizen. This is the concept of “continuous improvement.

What material are Hayabusa shin guards made of?

The T3 Carbon, Storm, and Trophy are made from VYLAR-2 synthetic leather.

VYLAR-2 synthetic leather has been scientifically proven to be up to nearly 30% stronger than regular leather. These Hayabusa shin guards therefore certainly won't be inferior to genuine leather shin guards. In addition, the color of Vylar-2 synthetic leather holds up better, and the synthetic leather does not develop cracks.

The T3 LX Retro is made from the finest Italian cowhide, ensuring high durability, and the leather is highly resistant to wear.
