Tips for XPRT Shin guards

The XPRT hard shin guards are available in sizes XXS to XL - choose your size carefully. Shin guards that are too large shift while kicking, while those that are too small provide insufficient coverage. Consult the size chart on the product page and measure your shin from knee to ankle.

An XPRT ankle sock under the shin guard can prevent chafing, keep the inside clean, and provide extra grip on the leg. The Velcro fastening is most secure when you close it from bottom to top.

After training: do not leave them in the bag. Let the shin guards air out and wipe them with a damp cloth. The Skintex material is durable but sensitive to prolonged exposure to moisture and sweat.

Frequently Asked Questions — Shin guards XPRT Pro V3 White (B-grade)

What is the background of the XPRT brand?

The story of XPRT Fight Gear begins in 2005. An enthusiastic martial artist and entrepreneur has been dreaming for years of a shop full of the finest fighting gear, available and accessible to everyone.

Through personal experiences in the form of training camps, seminars, competitions, and research, he gained a clear vision of how to offer martial arts, combat sports, and martial arts equipment to a broader audience in the new millennium.

With extensive experience in Thai boxing, boxing, karate, and especially ITF Taekwon-do, Fight2Win takes its first steps toward a complete product range. Initially, this consisted exclusively of ITF Taekwon-do uniforms and safety equipment under the Taekwon-do.nl brand and website.

Then came the slogan: Fight2WinAnd eventually, with the help of other martial artists and graphic designers, a logo and name emerged for a groundbreaking and affordable martial arts brand: XPRT Fight Gear!

How should a shin guard (for kickboxing) fit?

Ideally, a shin guard should extend exactly to just below your knee However, we consider it at least equally important that the shin guard does not fit too loosely around your legs. So even if it does not reach all the way to the knee, if it fits well otherwise, we consider that

more important (read: better) than choosing a larger size. A

too large shin guard is an obstruction and will also start to slide more easily, which is very annoying during training. The foot section should at least cover the top of your instep, but some brands extend it over the entire foot. That is not necessary. So if your

toes stick out —as is the case with the Twins SGL7, for example—that is perfectly fine . After all, you should not kick with your toes either.A kickboxing shin guard should fit snugly around your shin, from just below the knee to above the ankle, and should not be too loose or too tight. It should fully cover your shin for optimal protection without restricting your movement.

For every shin guard, we have created a

unique size chart for that brand and model. Be sure to consult it, and when in doubt, choose a smaller size rather than a larger one. gemaakt voor dat merk en model. Raadpleeg deze vooral en neem bij twijfel eerder een kleinere dan een grotere maat.

What size XPRT shin guard do I need?

We have added a size chart to each product, which we recommend consulting. For the XPRT shin guards, the size chart below serves as a guideline.

At a height of around 175 cm, you will fit size M or L. If you are unsure or have thin legs, we recommend choosing the smaller size.

Can I use my Xprt Shin guards on the punching bag?

Yes.

If you have bruises or sore shins, using shin guards is an option.

Using shin guards on a punching bag does leave “scuff marks” (stains, streaks, and smudges) on the shin guards and punching bag.
