Super Pro speedballs

Super Pro makes speedballs for a wide audience—from recreational athletes training at home to advanced boxers who work daily on timing and punching speed. 100% leather and a freestanding reflex ball on a stand for those without a platform.

The standalone speedballs—the Black-Red and the Retro Brown —are both made of 100% leather in an 8-panel design. The 8-panel design ensures consistent and predictable rebound behavior, making the balls particularly suitable for building rhythm and training combinations. Both models have the same dimensions (20 x 18 cm) and the same construction—the only difference is the color.

The Reflex-3 on a stand is a fundamentally different product—a freestanding stand with a rotating bar and three striking targets, adjustable in height between 165 and 185 cm. No platform or installation required. Available exclusively for pickup at the showroom in Waddinxveen.

Super Pro also supplies a steel swivel as an accessory—essential for hanging a standalone speedball from a platform.

The Super Pro Black-Red and the Super Pro Retro Brown are identical in construction and size—both are made of 100% leather and feature an 8-panel design, measuring 20 × 18 cm. The difference lies in their appearance and the feel of the material.

The Black-Red has a modern red-and-black color scheme—the striking contrast makes the ball easy to see during training. The leather has a sleek, smooth finish that suits a modern boxing gym or home gym.

The Retro Brown is the “old-school” version—brown leather with a classic look reminiscent of speedballs from boxing’s golden era. The leather has a slightly warmer and more supple appearance than the Black-Red. The choice for boxers who appreciate classic boxing aesthetics.

In terms of punch response and rebound behavior, the two models are equivalent —the choice is purely a matter of preference. Both models are suitable for all levels and come with mounting hardware for the top and bottom.

To hang it, you need a speedball platform and a swivel —Super Pro supplies a steel swivel as a separate accessory.

From Super Pro Reflex-3 is a fundamentally different product from a classic speedball—a freestanding stand with a rotating stainless steel bar and three striking targets at different heights. No platform or wall or ceiling installation required.

The stand rests on a parasol base (50 cm in diameter) that you fill with water, sand, or gravel for stability. The bar can be adjusted in height between 165 and 185 cm using a rotary knob—suitable for both women and men. The sealed bearings ensure that the bar rotates quickly and silently after impact.

The three striking targets—a speedball at the top, a hand pad on the side, and the rotating bar itself—provide a varied workout that a standalone speedball cannot offer. The rotating bar simulates an opponent, making the Reflex-3 also suitable for training defensive techniques such as bobbing & weaving.

The Reflex-3 is suitable for boxing, kickboxing, thai boxing, and MMA—and due to its size and weight (16 kg), it is available exclusively for pickup at our showroom in Waddinxveen.

The individual Super Pro speedballs are made up of 8 leather panels - a construction principle that directly affects the ball’s shape, durability, and rebound behavior.

A speedball made from fewer panels tends to lose its round shape with intensive use, resulting in irregular and unpredictable rebound behavior. The 8-panel design distributes tension evenly across the entire ball, allowing it to retain its shape and rebound consistently and predictably after every punch.

This makes the 8-panel design particularly suitable for training rhythm and combinations - where a consistent rebound pattern is essential for building a fluid sequence of punches. A ball that rebounds irregularly disrupts the rhythm and makes it more difficult to make progress.

The 8-panel design is a deliberate construction choice by Super Pro—not a marketing term, but a functional difference that becomes noticeable with intensive use over a longer period.

A standalone speedball needs a swivel to hang from a platform—a rotating connector between the ball and the platform that allows the ball to move freely after impact. Without a swivel, the ball will not rebound properly and the attachment will wear out quickly.

The Super Pro swivel is made of stainless steel and offers virtually no resistance—which means the ball rebounds quickly and unhinderedafter every punch. A swivel with too much resistance slows the rebound and compromises training quality.

The Super Pro swivel is universal—suitable for all common speedballs, regardless of the brand. Whether you train with a Super Pro, Rival, or Cleto Reyes speedball, the swivel fits any model with a standard attachment point.

A swivel wears out over time with intensive use—check it regularly for play, rust, or reduced smoothness. A worn swivel affects the ball's rebound and may come loose during training. Replacing it is easy and cheaper than buying a new ball.

All loose Super Pro speedballs are made of 100% leather - a material that lasts a long time with proper care but requires more care than synthetic leather.

After every training session - wipe the ball with a dry cloth to remove sweat and moisture. Sweat damages leather with prolonged contact—wiping it off immediately after use significantly extends its lifespan.

Periodically - treat the leather with a leather conditioner to prevent drying out and cracking. Dry leather loses its suppleness and may crack with intensive use. A thin layer of conditioner every few weeks is sufficient.

Storage - store the ball at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Damp areas damage the leather—even with regular care.

Swivel - regularly check the swivel for play and rust. A worn swivel affects the rebound and may come loose during training. The Super Pro swivel is easy to replace.

Reflex-3 on stand - wipe the ball and stand with a damp cloth after use. Periodically check the parasol base for stability and refill it with water, sand, or gravel if necessary.
