Care, washing & storage
  • Take out of your bag immediately after exercising.
  • Wipe the outside with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Store in a cool, dry place with good natural ventilation.
  • If desired, use an antibacterial spray.
  • For leather shin guards: use leather grease/leather conditioner once a month to prevent cracks and drying out.
  • DO NOT put in the washing machine.

Tips for Twins SGL7 Shin guards

The Twins SGL7 is available in sizes XS to XL - choose your size carefully. Shin guards that are too large slip during kicks, while those that are too small do not provide sufficient coverage of the shin. Refer to the size chart on the product page and measure your shin from knee to ankle.

An ankle sock under the SGL7 can help prevent chafing, keep the inside clean, and provide extra grip on the leg. The double hook-and-loop fastening fits most securely when fastened from bottom to top.

After training: do not put them in your bag. Let the SGL7 air out and wipe it with a damp cloth. The Skintex material is durable but sensitive to prolonged exposure to moisture and sweat.

How do you fasten the Twins shin guards?

All Twins shin guards feature a so-called "hook & loop closure". This is combined with additional elastic straps behind the Achilles tendon and under the foot.

Hook and loop means passing a strap through a buckle or loop, then bringing it back and pulling it tight.
