Anyone who practices these combat and ring sports, whether purely recreationally or for competition, would be wise to keep at least one—and preferably several—pairs of proper handwraps in their bag.

Why wear handwraps for boxing, cardio boxing, and kickboxing?
Handwraps are designed to protect the bones in your hands, your knuckles, and your wrists during training in all martial arts that involve punching. When applied correctly, they make your fist more compact and help your hands and knuckles absorb impacts more effectively.
Handwraps also provide essential support and alignment for your wrists, keeping them in a better position and better able to absorb the impact of punches. They also give your hands more grip when clenched into a fist, and your boxing gloves will literally fit more "like a glove."
Another nice benefit, or positive side effect, is that the handwraps also absorb a lot of sweat that would otherwise end up inside your boxing gloves. You can easily wash the handwraps after every training session, something you should not do with your boxing gloves.
With good handwraps, you can train better and harder with a much lower risk of injury than without them.

We finally managed to add the Twins handwraps to our range, and we are very happy about that. All Twins materials in Europe go through the distributor who determines the selection. We had been asking for a long time to include smaller, yet equally important equipment such as handwraps and ankle guards alongside boxing gloves, pads, and shin guards.
The Twins handwraps are made in the homeland of Muay Thai: Thailand. And there, they know very well that good materials are essential when practicing all martial arts.
Twins Cotton CH Quality (Score: 9/10)
The Twins handwraps are extremely neatly finished, as far as you can say that about a handwrap. The 100% cotton handwrap also looks and feels much more luxurious and pleasant than cheaper polyester versions. They feature a beautiful Twins brand label and are made highly durable, like all other products from Twins Special.
Comfort & ease of use Twins Cotton CH (Score: 9/10)
The Twins handwraps are made of slightly stretchy cotton. Cotton is one of the most comfortable materials to wear. This applies to clothing, but especially to handwraps. The cotton used to make the Twins handwraps is soft and comfortable.
The advantage of 100% cotton handwraps over polyester blends is that they are much more breathable. This is particularly pleasant with handwraps, as you will already sweat enough. The Twins handwraps are among the finest handwraps we have had in our hands.
The Twins handwraps also naturally feature a comfortable thumb loop to get started with wrapping and neatly finished hook-and-loop fastening to close them. Our tip: let them dry naturally while hanging them up, because cotton naturally creases and shrinks much more than polyester fabrics.

We have been happily carrying the regular Hayabusa Perfect Stretch handwraps in our range for many years. They have always been extremely popular with our customers because of their excellent quality. A few years ago, Hayabusa launched an extra-luxurious version of their handwraps, appropriately named: Deluxe.
Hayabusa Deluxe Quality (Score: 9/10)
These Hayabusa handwraps are beautifully finished and contain no weaving defects or imperfections in the luxurious fabric. They also come in beautiful, elegant colors, with the logo—the now-famous peregrine falcon—woven into the luxurious fabric.
The closure has a luxurious rubber label as a pull tab, further emphasizing the quality. The Hayabusa Deluxe Handwraps are made from luxurious Nylon yarn. This material is also widely used in socks, carpets, and other garments because of its positive properties: it is the strongest type of synthetic fiber while also being resilient.

Rival has looked for a way to make thinner handwraps that provide the same protection as thicker and stiffer variants. The Mexican Stretch handwraps are the result. This means you have less trouble fitting bulky fists into your boxing gloves, while enjoying at least the same level of protection!
Of course, they have a thumb loop and a hook-and-loop closure to secure them. This looks somewhat simpler compared with some other brands, but function takes precedence over appearance here.

We were able to add the Fairtex handwraps to our range over the past year, and we are very pleased with them. Fairtex has no permanent distributor in Europe, so it is not always easy to obtain these sought-after Thai materials.
The Fairtex handwraps are made in the homeland of Muay Thai: Thailand, just like all other Fairtex Gear. Everything is tested at the Fairtex Training Camp in Pattaya, where they know that good materials are essential when practicing boxing, thai boxing, and MMA.
Quality Fairtex Cotton CH (Score: 8/10)
The Fairtex handwraps are carefully finished and come neatly rolled from the factory. The 100% Cotton handwraps also feel much more comfortable and durable than cheaper polyester versions. 8. Winning VL-B Extension
The Winning VL-B handwraps have been part of our beautiful Winning collection for quite some time, and of all the Winning handwraps, this is by far the most sought-after. Winning is simply the holy grail when it comes to boxing, so these boxing wraps naturally belong in the F2W range.
As with all Winning gear, these handwraps come with a very steep price tag. That's simply part of buying products that are sustainably produced and not made in a low-wage country.
Quality of Winning VL-B (Score: 9/10)
When we first got the Winning VL-B handwraps in our hands, we thought... this is very fragile; it looks like it's for one-time use. Rayon handwraps look very delicate and deserve a little more attention than a cheap alternative, but they are surprisingly durable.
We have sold quite a few sets of these to competitive boxers, serious recreationalists, and even professional boxers. Once they get used to them, they don't want anything else. The handwraps resemble the gauze that professional boxers use in competition, but in the form of a reusable handwrap.
Winning handwraps look very well-finished, but research does show that you need to handle these delicate handwraps carefully. Don't just throw them in the washing machine with the rest and hope for the best.
Comfort & ease of use of Winning VL-B (Score: 10/10)
Winning's VL-B handwraps are made from stretchy, mesh-like material and feel somewhat fragile. However, they are more than sturdy enough and provide your knuckles with exceptional protection. Because they are so incredibly thin, you can easily wrap them around your hands as if applying a layer of plaster, according to users on Reddit.
Winning handwraps are made from a material unique to handwraps: Rayon. Rayon is an artificially produced fiber based on the cell walls of plants (cellulose). The fibers of eucalyptus, bamboo, and wood are spun into the fine threads of the yarn. The yarn closely resembles cotton but is stronger, more flexible, and softer. As a result, the fabric feels almost like silk.
Winning handwraps have a luxurious thumb loop and a hook-and-loop closure to secure them. This looks simple, but is meticulously finished, as we have come to expect from Winning.

9. Cleto Reyes Non-Stretch
We have had the traditional Cleto Reyes handwraps in our excellent collection from the classic Mexican brand for quite some time. Cleto Reyes is synonymous with boxing, so the boxing wraps naturally belong in the F2W range.
As with all Cleto Reyes products, the handwraps come with a hefty price tag. Understandable, because Reyes is simply a premium A-brand in the boxing world.
Quality Cleto Reyes Non-Stretch (Score: 8/10)
The Cleto Reyes Non-Stretch handwraps arrive very neatly packaged and look exceptionally well finished. The polyester material looks very clean and neatly finished. No loose threads or crumpled appearance.
They are also very sturdy handwraps that can withstand plenty of training sessions. The 100% polyester material is also easy to wash and can be rolled up tightly before and after use.
The Cleto handwraps look very well made, but research shows that they are not for everyone. Some boxers swear by them, while others detest them. More on that in the section on comfort and ease of use.
Comfort & ease of use Cleto Reyes Non-Stretch (Score: 5/10)
As the name suggests, the Cleto Reyes Non-Stretch handwraps do not stretch. This essentially means that they are not handwraps for beginners, because wrapping properly without stretch requires some experience.
A major drawback of the Cleto handwraps is that the hook-and-loop closure does not line up properly at the end of wrapping the handwraps. It does work eventually, but you can expect a little more from such a premium brand.
The Cleto Reyes handwraps are extra long (500 cm), which is a solution for many boxers who want to wrap their hands extra securely.
The Cleto handwraps also have a good reinforced thumb loop and, as mentioned earlier, a hook-and-loop closure to secure them. It is finished very neatly with a luxurious Cleto Reyes logo.

The Cleto Reyes Non-Stretch handwraps have a fairly high price. They are made in Mexico rather than in low-cost Asian manufacturing countries.
