Each brand and model of boxing trunk has a unique size chart (next to the size selection and at the bottom in the content). This provides the best possible guideline for what we think is the best choice for you for that specific brand and model.

Please note that there are no separate children's sizes. These are the smaller sizes XS and S.

There is no difference between women's and men's Boxing trunks. Boxing trunks are almost always\u00a0 unisex, but women sometimes choose a different color or pattern that appeals to them more. Boxing trunks for boys and girls, men and women are available in various color combinations.

Yes.

The Super Pro boxing trunks can be machine washed, but it is best to turn them inside out first. It is also best to wash them at a low temperature. You can optionally place them in a laundry bag to protect them. Hand washing is of course still the safest option.

Washing instructions:
Always check the washing instructions on the label of the trunks first. Some trousers may require a specific washing temperature or programme. 

Inside out:
Turn the boxing trunk inside out to protect the exterior and prints during washing.

Washing machine:
Choose a delicate cycle or a low-temperature wash programme, such as 30°C or 40°C. Avoid hot water, as it can damage the fabric. 

Laundry bag:
Use a laundry bag for delicate clothing to protect the boxing trunk from the movement of the washing machine, especially if the trunks have Velcro. 

Drying:
Simply let the trunks air-dry normally. Do not use a tumble dryer, as the heat can damage the fabric and alter the fit. 

Additional tips:
It is best to wash the kickboxing shorts separately or with similar colours to prevent fading and colour transfer.

Traditional boxing trunks have a distinctive, almost iconic look. Why?

Every element of the design serves a practical purpose:

• Roomy, loose fit – For freedom of movement, quick footwork, and agility
• High waistband – More protection for the lower abdomen. Extra support for the core. A visual reference point for referees to identify legal punches above the belt.
• Lightweight, breathable material – Helps boxers stay cooler and more comfortable . They remain lightweight because they absorb less excess sweat and therefore do not weigh the boxer down.
• Striking designs and bright colors – Originally served the practical purpose of helping fighters be distinguished from one another by both the audience and the judges. Today, they are also a way to reflect boxers’ identities in the sport.

In 1978, one of the first martial arts stores (by Super Pro) opened in Rotterdam. Rotterdam was always considered a boxing city. It is home to Bep van Klaveren "The Dutch Windmill", the 1928 Olympic champion. And professional boxers, former WBO world champion Regilio Tuur, former WBU world champion Don Diego Poeder, and many others.

After the store became a great success, its owner founded the Super Pro Boxing Gear brand. With the slogan “the champions choice” , the brand quickly established its place in the Dutch boxing community. For many champions, the brand was literally their choice for training. The brand also gained international recognition and was exported throughout Europe.
