For our karate and taekwon-do uniforms, the ratio is usually 65% polyester and 35% cotton.Polycotton combines the benefits of both materials: the breathability of cotton and the durability and quick-drying properties of polyester.Why is polycotton used?More durable: polyester makes the fabric stronger and more abrasion-resistant than pure cotton. Wrinkle-resistant: polycotton is much less prone to wrinkling than 100% cotton. This is especially convenient for martial arts uniforms, as they require less ironing.Quick-drying: polyester fibers dry faster than cotton, which is useful for sportswear and sports equipment. Economical: polycotton is cheaper than 100% cotton. Q: Are these handwraps elastic?

Yes.Almost all handwraps in our range are (slightly) elastic. This is necessary to wrap the handwraps properly around your hands.We have a few non-stretch handwraps in our range. They are really only suitable for highly experienced (kick)boxers or are applied by a specialist.100% cotton handwraps generally have virtually no stretch, which is why almost all "regular" handwraps are a polyester-cotton, nylon-cotton, or polyviscose blend.
