Frequently Asked Questions — Kickboxing shorts XPRT Amsterdam

What size XPRT kickboxing shorts do I need?

Kickboxing shorts usually use “regular” sizes, from XXS to XL.

Each brand and model of kickboxing shorts has a unique size chart (next to the size selection and at the bottom in the content). This provides the best possible guideline for what we think is the right choice for you for that specific brand and model.

Please note that there are no separate children’s sizes. These are generally XXS, XS and S.

The Thai brands Fairtex, Booster, King Pro and Twins run much smaller than European sizes. Feel free to choose one or even two sizes larger than you normally wear.

These tips will help you make the right choice!

Can kickboxing shorts be machine-washed?

Yes.

Most kickboxing shorts can be machine washed, but it’s best to turn them inside out first. It’s also best to wash them at a low temperature. You can optionally place them in a laundry bag to protect them. Hand washing is, of course, the safest option.

Washing instructions:
Always check the washing instructions on the shorts’ label first. Some shorts may require a specific washing temperature or cycle.

Inside out:
Turn the kickboxing shorts inside out to protect the exterior and prints during washing.

Washing machine:
Choose a delicate cycle or a low-temperature wash cycle, such as 30°C or 40°C. Avoid hot water, as it can damage the fabric.

Laundry bag:
Use a laundry bag for delicate clothing to protect the shorts from the movement of the washing machine, especially if the shorts have hook-and-loop fastening.

Drying:
Simply let the shorts air-dry normally. Do not use a dryer, as the heat can damage the fabric and alter the fit.

Additional tips:
It’s best to wash the kickboxing shorts separately or with similar colors to prevent discoloration and color transfer.

Why are kickboxing shorts and thai boxing shorts so loose?

Kickboxing shorts, as well as thai boxing shorts for Muay Thai, are designed with wide legs for maximum freedom of movement. This is essential, especially when performing kicks and knee strikes.

The loose fit and wide legs prevent the shorts from restricting leg movement, which is crucial for effective knee and kicking techniques.

Is there a difference between women's and men's XPRT kickboxing shorts?

No.

There is no difference between women’s or men’s kickboxing shorts from XPRT. Kickboxing shorts are almost always\u00a0 unisex, but women sometimes choose a different color or pattern that appeals to them more. Kickboxing shorts for boys and girls, men and women are available in various color combinations.

What is the background of the XPRT brand?

The story of XPRT Fight Gear begins in 2005. An enthusiastic martial artist and entrepreneur has been dreaming for years of a shop full of the finest fighting gear, available and accessible to everyone.

Through personal experiences in the form of training camps, seminars, competitions, and research, he gained a clear vision of how to offer martial arts, combat sports, and martial arts equipment to a broader audience in the new millennium.

With extensive experience in Thai boxing, boxing, karate, and especially ITF Taekwon-do, Fight2Win takes its first steps toward a complete product range. Initially, this consisted exclusively of ITF Taekwon-do uniforms and safety equipment under the Taekwon-do.nl brand and website.

Then came the slogan: Fight2WinAnd eventually, with the help of other martial artists and graphic designers, a logo and name emerged for a groundbreaking and affordable martial arts brand: XPRT Fight Gear!
