It's no surprise that boxing gloves are one of the most important pieces of equipment in most combat sports, such as boxing and kickboxing. That's why our entire collection of boxing gloves is so extensive. We can easily imagine that the sheer number of options can make it difficult for you to make the right choice.
Best Buy Guide: Top 3 Best Women's Boxing Gloves
That's why we've created this best-buy guide specifically for women. We already had a website where we've compiled a selection of boxing gloves we consider very suitable for women. And no, they're not all pink or in sugary colors. That's possible, but we've primarily looked (based on our customer experiences) at which boxing gloves are more suitable for women.
Boxing gloves most suitable for women
There are no "real" boxing gloves specifically for women. Boxing gloves are almost always unisex. Women's boxing gloves differ from men's only in color and weight.
While most brands and manufacturers don't make separate women's boxing gloves, a number of martial arts brands like Twins, Hayabusa , and Booster also specifically target women . We also have a very extensive selection of women's boxing gloves from the XPRT Fight Gear brand .
Important aspects when choosing boxing gloves for women
Now that you're ready to decide on your first or next pair of boxing gloves, we present this blog post with our findings. Some questions immediately arise:
- Which martial art will you use the boxing gloves for?
- Which type of boxing gloves do you prefer?
- Do you have a preference for the type of closure or the materials used?
- What is your budget for a pair of boxing gloves?
Women's gloves for boxing and kickboxing
Most people are looking for a pair of boxing gloves (understandably) for the most popular combat sports: boxing and kickboxing. That's what we'll focus on in this guide.
For other group classes and self-defense systems, such as krav maga and cardio boxing, you can use the same boxing gloves.
If you're only going to train with a bag or exclusively with pads and a personal trainer, we recommend looking into a pair of bag gloves . We've also written excellent best-buy guides for this.
At the time of writing, Fight2Win has a selection of over 300 different boxing gloves in its product range. From these, we will select the top 3 women's boxing gloves under 100 euros . This research is based on customer experiences and feedback, sales popularity, and our own expertise.
Breakdown by price range
Since the available budget is often a determining factor in the choice, we have divided the boxing gloves into 3 price ranges: up to 100 euros, up to 200 euros and the absolute top class above 200 euros.
As a first step, we have taken a category up to a hundred euros, because if you go much lower than that, you actually end up with "toy" boxing gloves, and that is not something we as a specialty store pay attention to.
We start with the first category (up to 100 euros) and will cover the other categories in subsequent blogs.
In addition, we have a separate category especially for people looking for bag gloves: punching bag gloves.
Criteria for scoring women's boxing gloves
When evaluating women's boxing gloves, we look at what we consider to be the most important features of a women's boxing glove: fit, protection, build quality, and comfort. These are the criteria we use to score the boxing gloves.
- Fit & comfort: By fit and comfort, we naturally mean that gloves fit snugly without pinching. They should be easy to put on, even with bandages, and offer sufficient room for the fingers. We also consider factors like a comfortable grip (which makes it easier to make a fist) and good ventilation when assessing this aspect.
- Protection & Support: Protection is the extent to which the boxing gloves perform as intended: protecting your opponent, but also your own hands, knuckles, and wrists. The closure is important here, as is the padding. Padding is actually the most important part of a boxing glove, and it's the hardest to judge without using them first (or testing them, as we do).
- Build quality: The materials used, the finish, and the durability of the boxing glove. We also look at details like the stitching and Velcro straps. We also consider the durability of the padding under fairly intensive use.
Since we've divided women's boxing gloves into three price ranges, as mentioned earlier, we don't use price as a scoring criterion in this best-buy guide.
Best Buy: Women's Boxing Gloves Up to €100
- XPRT Top Gloves
- XPRT Pro V3
- King Pro Boxing Revo
1. XPRT Top Gloves

The XPRT Top Gloves, miraculously, fall well below the €100 price point. We've been selling this leather boxing glove for almost 20 years and can honestly say it's a steal in terms of value.
These are relatively basic women's boxing gloves, without any marketing gimmicks like special closures and ventilation features. However, the gloves are exceptionally high quality for this price range. A pair of leather boxing gloves for well under €100 including VAT is quite a bargain.
The Top Gloves have a hook-and-loop closure and comfortable padding on the impact area, as well as the palms. They're available in all common sizes and various colors, including the black and pink in the photo above. Stylish with a feminine touch. They're also available in solid pink or solid black.

Fit & comfort XPRT Top Gloves (Score: 8/10)
The fit of the XPRT Top Gloves is simply excellent. This is a serious boxing glove, and we've been selling them with great pleasure to our customers, both men and women, for years.
But especially for women, who play the leading role in this best-buy guide, this boxing glove is ideal due to its slightly narrower and smaller interior. For some men, the XPRT Top Gloves will be a bit tight, but for (most) women with narrower and more delicate hands, this is actually a plus!
The boxing gloves fit well with bandages, and because they're made of genuine leather, they conform more comfortably to your hands over time. They also become more flexible (like most boxing gloves) after a break-in period.
Great glove for women. Also highly recommended for punching bag training.
These XPRT Fight Gear gloves naturally feature a convenient, long, and wide Velcro closure. This closure is easy to close and tighten, even with only one glove on.
Because the boxing gloves have comfortable padding in the palms (which is great for absorbing blows), there's no room for ventilation holes. However, the opening at the closure is long enough to allow for adequate ventilation. Another advantage is that they're made of genuine leather, which naturally breathes much better than synthetic materials.
The grip bar in the boxing gloves is also present, ensuring you can make a comfortable fist whether you choose a 10 oz, 12 oz, or 14 oz weight. We give the XPRT Top Gloves a generous and respectable 8+ points for this aspect.
Protection & Support XPRT Top Gloves (Score: 8/10)
The XPRT Top Gloves' padding has proven to be excellent. The entire glove's padding is of a good thickness, and the padding feels firm yet soft.
The padding is thick enough to protect your hands and keep your partner safe. It also becomes firm enough after a while. We find that softer padding is especially comfortable at first, but softens even more quickly, causing your knuckles to show through. You won't have that problem with the XPRT Top Gloves.
The aforementioned padding in the palms also provides a little extra protection when absorbing punches from your opponent. This is a common occurrence in many boxing classes, cardio boxing sessions, and HIIT workouts.
Very nice gloves made of soft leather, good fit and cushioning. I wear them with an inner glove.
The Velcro closure is simply made in a classic way, unlike the more modern solutions found in more high-end boxing gloves, but it is well-made and sturdy. This also contributes to some support for your wrists.
The XPRT Top Gloves also managed to impress us in this aspect and once again scored a generous 8 points.
Build quality XPRT Top Gloves (Score: 8/10)
Since we've been selling these boxing gloves for many years, we can give a very solid assessment of their build quality. It's simply exceptional. The gloves' exterior is made of sturdy, exceptionally durable leather.
The padding is also of excellent quality and can last you many lessons if used correctly. Push-ups and bag training are obviously not the best friends of a regular boxing glove. It's possible, but keep in mind that this will significantly shorten the lifespan of your gloves.
The inner lining is made of a sturdy polyester material and is of excellent quality. Since we're reviewing women's boxing gloves here, we'd like to emphasize that long nails don't always go well with the inner linings of any boxing glove.
Since we have a very competitive price for a decent boxing glove here, we score the boxing gloves from this series by XPRT Fight Gear with a very neat 8 points!

Features XPRT Top Gloves:
| Material | Leather |

| Sizes | 10 oz to 16 oz |
| Extra | Padding palm |

Pros:
+ Excellent fit for women
+ Excellent protection due to thick padding and wide Velcro closure
Negatives:

2. XPRT Pro V3

The second model in this top 3 of women's boxing gloves is also a true winner in terms of price-performance ratio. The XPRT Pro V3 just falls under the €100 mark, making them virtually unbeatable.
We've had this model in our range since 2010 and it's by far our best-selling boxing glove of recent years. They're available in a wide range of colors and in almost all common men's and women's sizes (weights).
These genuine leather boxing gloves are a feast for the eyes, especially in their matte black finish. They also fit almost everyone, both men and women, perfectly.
Besides the popular matte black in the attached photos, they're also available in a beautiful matte black with pink. A cool look with a feminine touch. They're also available in solid dark blue, white, gray, army green, and even more colors.

Fit & comfort XPRT Pro V3 (Score: 7/10)
The fit of the XPRT Pro V3 is excellent. We generally find them more comfortable than the XPRT Top Gloves, but because this test focuses on women's boxing gloves, we scored them slightly lower. This isn't because they fit less well, but, as explained earlier, the Top Gloves are slightly more suitable for most women due to their more compact fit.
The Pro V3 are truly luxurious leather boxing gloves for this price range and feature a comfortable inner lining, convenient Velcro closure, and a good overall fit.
The Pro V3 has ventilation holes in the palms that allow for better airflow during training. Since they're made entirely of leather, they also breathe well, scoring well in this area.
What's striking is that the XPRT Pro V3s are actually comfortable right from the start. They have a great fit right away and don't feel like they need to be broken in.
These boxing gloves look great. They're a nice color and exactly as pictured. The quality is also top-notch. My trainer was amazed that I could buy them for this price. I'm very happy with them.
These top-of-the-line women's boxing gloves from XPRT Fight Gear are naturally equipped with a convenient, long, and wide Velcro closure. It's easy to close and tighten.
The grip bar in the boxing gloves is also present and ensures you can make a comfortable fist whether you choose a 10 oz, 12 oz, 14 oz, or even 16 oz. We score the XPRT Pro V3 a solid 7+ points for this aspect.
Protection & Support XPRT Pro V3 (Score: 8/10)
The XPRT Pro V3's padding is exceptionally good and rivals that of many more expensive, high-end boxing gloves. The Pro V3 features thick, comfortable padding, particularly on the impact area.
We use the term "friendly" padding here because this is also a comfortable boxing glove for your training partner: soft enough to absorb blows. However, the padding remains firm enough even after a while.
The Velcro closure on these boxing gloves is very comfortable to use because it's nice and wide. This also provides some support for your wrists. However, be sure to use wraps, as they don't offer the superior support you'll find on, for example, a Hayabusa T3 or Rival RS11V.
Great boxing gloves. Soft leather. They fit wonderfully and are great for hitting. Very satisfied. 🤗
In terms of protection and support, we are very pleased with the XPRT Pro V3 and therefore score good points in the list.
Build quality XPRT Pro V3 (Score: 9/10)
Since we've been selling these boxing gloves since 2010, we can give a very objective assessment of their build quality. Our best-selling boxing glove now has over 100 unbiased, genuine customer reviews, earning a fantastic 4.6 out of 5 stars!
The build quality of the XPRT Pro V3 is simply exceptional. The exterior of the gloves is made of a sturdy, soft leather that's durable yet looks and feels luxurious.
The padding is also exceptionally high-quality and rivals any boxing glove in any price range. The XPRT Pro V3 is priced above the Top Gloves from the same brand, and it shows. Everything looks just that little bit nicer and more luxuriously finished.
Since we have a pair of leather boxing gloves here for a very competitive price, we score the XPRT Fight Gear Pro V3 boxing gloves with a very neat 9 points!

XPRT Pro V3 Features:
| Material | Leather |
| Closure | Velcro |
| Sizes | 8 oz to 18 oz |
| Extra | Palm ventilation holes |
| To colour | Black, gray, green, white, black-pink |
Pros:
+ Excellent fit and extra ventilation holes
+ Excellent protection due to thick, soft padding and wide Velcro closure
Negatives:
- Less suitable for small hands

3. King Pro Boxing Revo

The third model in this top 3 of women's boxing gloves is from the Thai brand King Pro Boxing. These boxing gloves from King Pro's economy line are available in three cool colorways and in all common women's and men's sizes (10 to 16 oz).
It is a real boxing glove for beginners and recreational users with a comfortable fit, but not made of the highest quality materials.
They look great and are selling like hotcakes in our webshop. It makes sense, because they're very competitively priced, and for kickboxers, there are also matching shin guards available.
The King Pro Revo boxing gloves are true unisex boxing gloves and occupy a middle ground in terms of fit in terms of width and size.
Besides the sexy black and gold in the attached photos, they're also available in a completely matte black and a cool army green. They all look pretty slick, and you can confidently show up at any training session in these.

Fit & comfort King Pro Boxing Revo (Score: 8/10)
The fit of the King Pro Revo ranges from more than adequate to very good. Especially because they're made of synthetic leather, they're supple enough to slip on easily right from the start.
The Revos have nice mesh panels for ventilation, but in practice, don't expect much from them. Since they're synthetic leather gloves, you'll also notice that they breathe considerably less well than the other models in this top 3 women's boxing gloves.
The comfort is excellent, and they fit comfortably around your hands for a glove in this price range. The Velcro closure is also easy to grip and closes easily.
Feel good
These women's boxing gloves from King Pro Boxing feature a grip bar in the center of the mesh panel, making it easy for the average woman's hand to grip. We award the King Pro Revo an 8-point fit and comfort rating.
Protection & Support King Pro Revo (Score: 7/10)
The King Pro Revo's padding is adequate, but feels very soft. Don't expect the padding in these boxing gloves to remain firm for long with regular use. For beginners, it does offer the right level of protection for both your hands and your opponent.
The Revos' Velcro closure is easy to use because it's nice and wide. However, it's softer than the XPRT boxing gloves in this test and therefore offers slightly less support.
Good quality
On average, the King Pro Revo boxing gloves offer good protection for gloves in this category. The thumb is also well-positioned and more than adequately protected against any blows or impacts.
In terms of protection and support, we give the King Pro Revos a 7 out of 10.
Build quality King Pro Boxing Revo (Score: 6/10)
The King Pro Revo synthetic leather boxing gloves can't match the build quality of either the Top Gloves or the XPRT Pro V3, which are both made of 100% genuine leather. It's also not the type of synthetic leather used by, for example, a Hayabusa or Rival, but then again, those gloves cost at least 2 to 3 times as much.
Still, the King Pro doesn't quite convince us. Sales figures don't lie, though, and this is an incredibly popular women's boxing glove in our range. Probably because in this price range, you have to compromise somewhere.
The padding is also of sufficient quality, and the rest of the gloves are also well-made. As long as you treat this boxing glove as it was intended for (recreational use), you'll have a very nice and comfortable glove at a reasonable price.
However, the competition offers full leather boxing gloves for similar prices and therefore we cannot give King Pro Boxing more than 6 points in this department.

King Pro Boxing Revo Features:
| Material | Faux leather |
| Closure | Velcro |
| Sizes | 10 oz to 16 oz |
| Extra | Mesh panels |
| To colour | Black, green, black-gold |
Pros:
+ Comfortable fit
+ Sufficient protection through thick, soft padding and wide Velcro closure
Negatives:
- Doesn't feel very durable

Essential information and questions about women's boxing gloves
What size boxing gloves for women?
Women typically choose 12 oz boxing gloves. This also depends on the martial arts brand and your own posture.
90% of women choose a 12oz glove, but if you're a bit smaller and lighter, you can also consider a 10oz boxing glove. If you want to train harder or are a bit bigger, you can of course opt for 14oz boxing gloves. This also depends partly on the brand.
We've included a unique sizing chart for each brand and model of (women's) boxing gloves. Please consult this chart as often as possible for a good guideline.
What is the difference between women's and men's boxing gloves?
There really aren't any differences. There are no boxing gloves specifically for men or women. Boxing gloves are almost always suitable for both men and women (after all, they're usually ready-made).
Women generally have slightly narrower hands than men, so it's wiser to choose a lighter (smaller) boxing glove. These are often also slightly smaller and have a narrower fit.
How do I determine my boxing glove size as a woman?
Boxing gloves do not go by "normal" sizes, but by weight measurements expressed in ounces (oz).
General size chart for women's boxing gloves:
| Weight | Mate |
|---|---|
| up to 57 kg | 10 oz |
| 57 to 70 kg | 12 oz |
| 70 to 85 kg | 14 oz |
| More than 85 kg | 16 oz |
Each brand and model of women's boxing glove on our website has a unique sizing chart (in the size selection section and at the bottom of the content). This chart provides the best possible guideline for what we think is the best choice for you for that specific model.
The rule of thumb is: "The heavier the person, the heavier the glove." A heavier boxing glove generally has more padding and is therefore safer for the hands and the training partner. Trainers generally prefer heavier boxing gloves over lighter ones.
In short, women typically train with 10 oz, 12 oz, or 14 oz.
Which women's boxing gloves are best for bag training?
You can also use regular boxing gloves for bag training. However, they're not designed for this and will therefore break more easily than specialized bag gloves.
The XPRT Top Gloves, for example, are a good choice. They offer excellent value and are also the winner of this test.
The advantage of "regular" boxing gloves is that you can use them both on the punching bag and with a partner. However, traditional boxing clubs won't appreciate this. You're not supposed to damage the padding of your sparring gloves on the punching bag.
Separate bag gloves
Most of our customers don't want to buy more than one pair of boxing gloves, although that's usually the best choice . If you regularly train on a punching bag (or hand pads), it's definitely wiser to buy separate bag gloves for that. Both pairs will last much longer that way.
If you're looking to purchase a pair of gloves specifically for bag training (and pad training), we'd highly recommend the Rival RB50 .
Are inner gloves or hand wraps required for women's boxing gloves?
Yes. Wearing inner gloves is always recommended for women. Besides strengthening your hands, they serve another (hygienic) purpose. Sweat collects in the inner gloves, which you can then wash. This keeps your gloves fresher and in better condition for longer.
Wearing handwraps is even better. These provide more support and protection. Putting them on might seem complicated, but you'll quickly get the hang of it. We've often included links to videos on our bandages' product pages to help you get started.
Another very popular option is to wear gel wraps . These offer the convenience of inner gloves, the reinforcement of bandages, and the added comfort of extra cushioning on your knuckles!
