Frequently asked questions — Bytomic handwraps

What is Bytomic’s background story?

Bytomic is one of the world's largest martial arts suppliers, with its headquarters located in the United States. Bytomic gear is affordable and of excellent quality.

Bytomic's goal is simple: to earn customers' respect by doing what they promise. They have pursued this goal relentlessly for more than 30 years by building their knowledge, experience, and skills.

Now that they are one of the largest suppliers of leading brands in the US and UK markets, they have no intention of becoming complacent. Bytomic strives for continuous improvement and development, always looking for ways to initiate and share new ideas.

Why do you use handwraps?

When boxing and kickboxing, training on the punching bag or with kicking and punching shields, your hands and wrists endure a lot.

Inner gloves and handwraps provide extra protection for your hands, knuckles, and wrists.

As an added benefit, they help extend the lifespan of your boxing gloves by absorbing sweat.

You can find much more information about this in the handwraps collection.

What’s the best way to wash Bytomic handwraps?

Bytomic handwraps are best washed in a laundry bag or bra wash bag in the washing machine at 30°C or lower. Hand washing is actually even better.

It is important to fasten the Velcro together before washing to prevent it from catching on other clothes or on itself. After washing, let the handwraps air-dry naturally. Do not put them in the dryer, as they may shrink and crease unnecessarily.

  • Partially roll up the handwraps and place them in a laundry bag or bra wash bag.
  • Wash the handwraps in the washing machine at a maximum of 30°C or hand wash them.
  • Let the handwraps air-dry, preferably hanging them fully extended.
  • Do not put the handwraps in the dryer.

Extra tips:

  • Wash the handwraps regularly (after every training session) to keep them hygienically clean and fresh.
  • You can optionally use a mild detergent, but rinse the handwraps thoroughly to prevent soap residue.
  • Let the handwraps dry completely after washing before using them again.Bytomic handwraps are best washed in a laundry bag or bra wash bag in the washing machine at 30°C or lower. Hand washing is actually even better.

How do I put on handwraps?

There are many different ways and variations to put on short and long handwraps. As you use them more often, you’ll develop your own preference: some people wrap more around the wrists, while others wrap a little more around the knuckles of their fists.
