Sometimes you are not able to go to the gym, but you want to get rid of your energy and stay in shape. Or you simply want to train a bit extra on the different facets that come with almost every martial art: condition, speed, sharpness, technique and strength. You can just train at home or outside in the woods. The way to train at home with family or your training buddy is pads training! All you need is a pair of hand pads and a pair of boxing gloves. This way you can train at home with your father, mother, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, brother or sister!
The benefits of pad training are:
- good condition training
- ideal to clear your head
- small investment
- takes up little space
Improving your condition
There are countless ways to work on your condition. With a good pad training you are really exhausted afterwards. By building up slowly and sometimes throwing in fast combinations, you create an interval training. And this is really super good for your condition. So by going fast with combinations, with short rest periods, you build up a super good condition. You also use many muscle groups. Among other things, your arms, shoulders, back and abdominal muscles are addressed.
Ideal to clear your head
Pad training is the best training to beat out the aggression. Of course you want to walk outside, sit on a terrace and do other fun things. Unfortunately it is not allowed. Then grab the pads and a pair of boxing gloves and beat out all the pent up anger. This really works, trust me ;)
Small investment
For a pad training you only need a few pads and a pair of gloves. If you go for the cheapest models, you can be ready for 100,-! If you want to do it a bit better, so learn boxing gloves and better pads, then you will end up over €100,-. For a nice choice, take a look at the XPRT Pad Training Set for example. More about which pads we recommend later.
Takes up little space
Unlike large fitness installations, a pair of pads and a pair of boxing gloves take up little space. Easy to store in a closet and if the crisis is over, you can simply take the pads with you in the car for a workout on the beach or in the woods.
Which pads should I take?
We have the right pads for every budget! We distinguish between home use and gym use. At the gym, pads are used intensively every day. If you train at home, you may use the pads a few times a week.
The XPRT Hand Pads V4 Strikeforce are the ideal choice for people who want to train at home and don't want to spend too much. These pads are made of skintex, a high-quality artificial leather. Recently, more professional versions of these proven pads have also been introduced: the XPRT Pro Focus Pads FP . These can be tightened more tightly with a Velcro closure and have a fine mesh finish for better ventilation.
If you are willing to spend a little more, then the King Revo pads are highly recommended. These are just a little longer and because of the curve you can absorb impacts better as a trainer. There is no closure so you can quickly put the pads on and take them off. If you are looking for pads with an extra closure, then take a look at the Booster Extreme pads . These are really nice and thick and provide maximum protection!
If you are a personal trainer or simply value high-quality equipment, you will end up at Hayabusa and Twins. The Hayabusa hand pads PTS3 are incredibly comfortable in the hand, are super light and are great to train with. The Twins Hand Pads ... well ... simply the best of the best. The price is also there. This is a really good and sustainable investment.
