Origin of the Hayabusa brand
Hayabusa (pronounced Ha-Ja-Boo-Sa) is the Japanese word for peregrine falcon (a pelegrine falcon in English), the fastest animal on Earth (a bird of prey clocked at over 500 km/h in a dive). The company was founded in 2006 by Ken & Craig Clement, David Zikakis, and Luke Harris, and has since taken off, literally.
Continuous improvement
Hayabusa strives to offer the best materials in terms of comfort, fit, anatomy, and most importantly: performance and safety! A martial artist is constantly improving and developing. This is a Japanese philosophy also applied in business administration and at Hayabusa: Kaizen. This is the concept of "continuous improvement."
"A martial artist is continuously learning and improving their craft, a philosophy called Kaizen."

Hayabusa Fightwear Inc. has funded several studies at major universities in the United States and North America. These universities, in collaboration with independent research centers, have conducted research into the safety and quality of materials used in the sports industry.
